We Are All Wet Rats (NYC)

Written by guest photographer of the day Alison Feller.  She is pretty good at photos, maybe she should switch professions.

Today was PR Day, which means eight grueling Mansion loops. In honor of each loop you fearless warriors completed, here are eight important things that happened at today’s 5:28 and 6:28 workouts. read more

This Is Our Day: A Love Letter (NYC)

Dear November Project,

“This is our day.”

These were the first words #SamHam said to me this morning when we woke up a shade past 5 AM. We stared at each other in the dark, from opposite sides of our tiny Hoboken apartment, with blurry eyes and messy hair — our standard pre-dawn looks.

“Lucky us,” I said, with more than a hint of sarcasm. read more

The Good Old Days

Guess blog today by POW!:

After the workout today, post coffee, pre-work, I found myself procrastinating, elbow deep in the kitchen “junk” drawer.  In the the midst of tossing a collection of uninspiring fortunes once housed in the perfect sweet ending to bad delivery decision, I came across one that I decided not to throw away.  There were certainly more poetic fortunes in the vast collection but for some reason this one stuck.  But I will get back to that… read more

#ECSNY BEAR MOUNTAIN – 2016

It is that time of year again.  The North Face Endurance Challenge – Bear Mountain, NY was a hell of a ride last year.  We laughed, we smiled, we saw the mountain and all of that went away.  Then we bounced and it all came back to us.  Then we drank some beverages and headed back.  And now its time to do it all over again.  The main event that people tend to do is the MARATHON RELAY.  It is four legs of the 10km course, with the start, transition zone for each leg, and finish at the exact same spot.  Its an amazing event and a BEAUTIFUL location. read more

During the week that Christians celebrate the Nativity and all prepare for the New Year I thought it fitting to describe my week with Positivity. First of all it is an awesome award. The finest wood, I’m guessing Pine in keeping with the Christmas theme. Hand-crafted out of an old piece of mast from a sunken ship, let’s call it an Ark. As a founding member of The Wood Club with a fitting moniker (Looney-Wood) while I don’t want to get too sappy, I must admit it was something I desired but hardly deserved. A sturdy stick without varnish but nonetheless a totem of hope. The Positivity Award truly has special powers. While you possess it, if anything should start to go south, all you have to do is go with the grain, picture the PA stem in your mind which will bring a smile to your face and then nothing can stop you. So many positive things happened this week. I was able to share the award with two of my man crushes Gary Vaynerchuck and Ray Maker who both laid hands on it in my office. read more

2016: NEW (York City)

2015 was an amazing year.  We saw some greatness throughout the year. Some highlights include but are not limited to:

– Mansions 2.0, our current PR course, was created.  Oh and we made the NEWS.
– We let a real blogger person write the blog when we got Audited.  And just like the IRS, we still have not heard the results.  And that was the first workout where we did COOPERS.
– We share some love.  #FastAsSam
– Our “spring” #Sunrise6k was fucking cold.  So?
– Oh and then we made the news, again.  #PRINTMEDIALIVES
– We MADE THE NEWS in a country in Asia.  Still not sure what the story is about.  Possibly some cult.  #notacult
