We Sweat, We Banter, We Laugh (SMF)

When 6:25AM rolls around, the friendly faces of the Sacramento tribe begin to gather at the West Steps of the Capitol. Today, was no different with the unfriendly face of leaf blower guy who started the morning by blowing his machine at co-leader Haley as she was first to arrive to welcome members of the tribe. We asked him to join, but clearly he was too busy blowing the browned grass and dust around to workout with us. Nonetheless, the tribe gathered and the workout began. read more

Hot Fire Drill, Highs & Goodbyes – (PHL)

There was no shortage of sweat, fountain water and tears at this morning’s romp on The Steps! We modified a fire drill, ran The Steps until we heard the air horn – dropped for eight push-ups/burpees (which some performed in the fountain) — and continued running.  Our legs were moving, our hearts were pumping and the hugs were epic! photo (1) After “good mornings.” we gave Matt the Positivity Award. His larger-than-life frame surrounds a super huge heart, and this dude embodies what the PA is all about! Sara passed the Hard Hat to Kaitleen, who never misses a workout or an opportunity to keep pushing herself harder. Kait dropped a month’s worth of verbals before June started, because she is that committed to showing up. Congrats to you both! We had to say goodbye to one of our most energetic, always-working-in-beast-mode-but-never-following-directions tribesgal Lindsay, who is leaving the PHL for SF today. (Yes, she even scheduled her flight so she could make one last workout with her home tribe). We are grateful she will have NP_SF to keep her in line and wish her a safe journey. Take good care of her out there, SF! Go forth and be well. Recruit everyone you see. Share a smile, a hug, a kind gesture. Remember, it doesn’t cost a thing to make someone’s day. You may even wind up making your own!
We’ll see y’all
Friday, 6:25 a.m. at UPenn’s Franklin Field. Meet at the Fox Fitness Center Entrance (Gate 2) on the north side of the stadium between 32nd & 33rd Streets. Bring bevs to hydrate!

Introducing Pádraig Ó Laoghaire: Newest Leader of NPSF

Pádraig Ó Laoghaire, translated in American-English to Paddy, is your newest co-leader of NPSF as Laura heads over to Ireland for 3 months to teach young children how to speak English. We figured that since one of the leaders was leaving for Ireland, the only logical decision was to replace her with an Irish lad. Enter Pádraig Ó Laoghaire. read more

Rise & Grind (SMF)

Happy Wednesday! As some people dread the mid-week day, here in Sacramento and across the country where there is a November Project tribe working out, we look forward to that morning alarm so we can get on our way. Today, was like all the other Wednesday mornings, we got up on our feet and were ready to grind it out on the West Steps of the Capitol in Downtown Sacramento. read more

Walk on Water (DEN)

Feet in the water, toes in the sand, the Mile High Tribe returned to the Cheeseman Park oasis today to fulfill their #FubuFriday obligations. This location is near and dear to our heart, flashback to October 16, 2013: Dan, Molly, Piper, Ken, Kellie, Bronwyn, and Brooke took to the sub-freezing stage of the Cheeseman Pavilion to play human shuffle board. Seven began this challenge and three endured to the final picture (below). You’ve come a long way #NP5280. Today’s  free workout was brought to you by the canine kid, Troy: read more

The Flat-Lander (MSP)

Yesterday at Mill City Museum was the bomb. Record setting amount of sunshine. It was fucking bright out there… but we persevered. Summer is the best!

The workout itself strayed from MSP’s usual. Instead of crushing hill repeats or stair loops, we kept things on flat land. We kicked it off with a warm-up across the Mississippi River where everyone touched the East bank with a finger before heading back. Then we got to business. read more

NRD, PBW, Goodwill & Good Brews – (PHL)

What happens when you promote a goodwill workout on National Running Day? A sure-to- crush- your hangover workout smack in the middle of Philly Beer Week?  And offer to send folks home with a delicious beer post sweat-fest? We were eager to find out so we did all that this week – yeah we did – and people showed up! Boy did they SHOW UP! About 150 tribesfolk got sweaty with us the a.m. and more newbies were in the house today than…er… EVER – IT WAS DOPE! read more

Happy National Running Day (SMF)

It’s a common theme around the country, people running and being happy about it. What the F@#K is wrong with all these people? 🙂 Actually, we in Sacramento think everyday should be a happy running day! Today, was no different when it came to working out and having fun. The group gathered at the West Steps of the Capitol at 6:25AM, with all the co-leaders present. The last couple of weeks co-leader Chris was missing in action due to some lame excuse of being stranded somewhere. Nonetheless the awesome triple threat of Haley, Stephanie and Chris were present. read more

Morning Alarms & The Timer Spreadsheet (PHL)

When you fall asleep on Tuesday night and the weather predicts chilly rain for the entire next day, do you (A) not bother to set your alarm and say, “I can sleep through November Project tomorrow” or (B) set that jammy jam anyway and jump up with glee knowing you’re going to start your day off right with a bunch of your fave peoples? If you chose B last night, then you were in for a super dope surprise of sunshine and hot sweaty bodies running amok at The PMA this morning! Good work! read more

All the Way!

Yes. Today we went all the way. Not some 1st base BS but I’m talking full on down and dirty! We blasted those sweaty beats and the tribe responded well pushing themselves harder than I have ever seen them push before. I always come to on Wednesday excited to see what sort of madness will ensue. To see the progression of every individual is beyond astounding. Physically you have all raised into the badass scale but as people you all are just GRRRRRRREAT (as Tony the Tiger would say). read more
