KUDOS YOU!

Tribemembers,

Today we revisited one of our favorites. Tabatas. To pump up the tribe we played some sweet tunes. Due to our broken speakers we rolled in the class with the ’96 Ford Explorer, black on black interior, with what sounds like the perfect surround sound. 20 mins worth, five exercises, 45 secs on-15 off. Safe to say that everyone got their ass kicked. read more

PR Wednesday (SMF)

Another day of new faces! Co-leader Stephanie recruited her friend Trinity AKA La Lucha (she is a roller derby badass). We missed Katie today, she didn’t give us a verbal so we’re not calling her out. Yesterday was her birthday though, so happy bday Katie!!

Today we started something new. Something Haley tried to do last week but no one payed attention to their numbers…so again, today we had a PR Wednesday. After a mile warm up around the Capitol our workout consisted of 20 jumping jacks, 20 push ups and 20 sit ups, then a short sprint. Repeat 3 times. Everyone pushed hard and we had a great workout. Even co-leader Chris participated in most of the workout. He was still his smart ass self, that won’t change. read more

Red, White & PLANK!

So we got our early Fourth of July celebration on today. Initially Angelo and I discussed just laying down for a whole workout for energy conservation for the Fourth but we decided we wanted to get sweaty. So we nearly held our workout at The W’s sauna but they didn’t think our “run club” was special enough. We nearly bought flights for all our tribemembers to NOLA to just sit in the Louisiana heat but there wasn’t a plane big enough for our tribe. We nearly played a version of Hansel and Gretel where one by one we were going to roast you in our oven’s but turns out I left my baster at my parent’s house (I swear we’re not a cult). So it turned out to be easier to “just” workout this morning and sweat that way. read more

Getting over the HUMP! (SMF)

Well today we officially just grew in numbers, we knew that after the Fix50 construction which congested most of Sacramento and after the USATF Outdoor Championships last week, we would find a way to get more people out to join the Sacramento Tribe. Today we welcomed a number of new people and though the group in comparison to other tribes is still small we had a total of 13 people out today for the workout. read more

Call Me, Maybe! (PHL)

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number… go get sweaty with those designated digits along with 150 other sexy bodies and after that, we’ll see what kind of connections we’re making!?
Philly leadership was smitten with an NP_LAX workout that went down a few weeks back and we wanted to get our tribe buzzing each others phones too! This is, afterall, a lovefest that needs to be nurtured, and what better way to do so than to reach out and touch a fellow tribesperson at any given point in your day (for like ever now that you have a rando phone number)? YES!
The tribe gathered and wrote their numbers (no names) on a slice of paper. Numbers were gathered in a bag. Thanks Sara for the assist with all this clerical work! In the midst of suicides on the steps numbers were pulled. The circle around the fountain atop our steps was chalked as a rotary phone and each number corresponded with a workout to be performed for 3:30 minutes; squats, burpees, wall sits, pushups, lunges etc. read more

Seven Wednesdays (MSP)

Boston was there, Seven Sundays brought a crate filled with mueslies, and Cameron “The Wing Man” Wing powered through his final MSP workout before heading west. We got things moving with a lap down to the river level and back. From there we divided the morning into two separate workouts.

First we threw down a power circuit on the stairs between “The Mill” and Guthrie theater. We circulated around reps of box jumps, core “yoga”, pushups, and burpees. Each circulation was culminated with a fast lap through the Guthrie Plaza. After four total circulations, we headed for the hills. read more

Whole(ly) Weekend Earned – (PHL)

The tribe was whole today. Leadership was together at the same workout for the first time in over a week, and surely didn’t skip a beat as they were right back to their usual antics of agreeing so much that one might think they shared a brain. Translation: simultaneously pointing in opposite directions. read more

Now we got Shotputters! (SMF)

Okay the Fix50 nightmare is now fixed and people can resume with their weekly travels to NP_SMF …. umm not quite yet. As we arrived to our 6:25AM meeting spot for today’s workout, the sidewalks and certain lanes of the roads surrounding the State Capitol building were closed not due to construction or anything like that, but because of the USATF Championships going on in Sacramento starting Wednesday and running through this weekend. With most of the events being held at Hornet Stadium on the campus of CSU Sacramento, the shot-putters stage their event in front of the West Steps of the Capitol. We promise next week things should be back to normal and people can get in for their weekly Wednesday morning workouts without any issues. read more

Regulators!!! Mount Up! (PHL)

“By a show of hands, how many of you know who Ralph Macchio is?” This is how we separated the young from the not-so-young this morning. And we “old folk” came out on top, because we all know who Ralph is. But that’s a whole other story. See what happens when you leave us, Dan? Things get weird-er! read more

We Are All Smiles

It has been said that November Project runs a smile factory. The factory supposedly emits zero emission (except for runner’s farts), runs super efficiently and most of all never seems to malfunction. At first I thought all you people in LA were all know it all, too cool for school buttholes but today, my god, did you all throw that stereotype in the water and drown it. Today you all conquered not only a tough workout (Couple’s Retreat) but you floundered like a fish out of water during our technical warm ups, you high-fived up the wazoo while sweat beaded down your face and you welcomed each other with open arms even though you may have eaten garlic the night before.  And yeah I’m talking to you newbies, all 16 of you, for being so badass and tackling the workout like champs!!! The best part, is that you all did it with a smile. read more
