Over Halfway There (LAX)

Over halfway with HILL HELL WEEK that is.  Yep, with day 3 under our belt, there are only 2 more chances to get sweet tags AND some sick swag at Friday’s Sunrise 6k.  Oh, and those of you who are crushing it this week and make it to ALL 5 workouts?  You will be entered in a raffle for The North Face goodness. read more

Couples Retreat + FREE SWAG (LAX)

Goooooood stuff this morning.  The high fives were on point, the sweat was real (false feelings of fall with a slight breeze at the start of 5:27…who are we kidding it’s summer year round in Southern California), and while we may not have had a functional boombox, we had a grand ‘ol time anyways. read more

Hell Week 1.0 (LAX)

Yep, that’s right LA, we’re bringing Hell Week 1.o to you this August.  Who misses the good ‘ol days of “Hell Week” before school started and you would be out running around in the hot August mornings and evenings, working your butt off, sweating like no other, and bonding with your teammates?   Right, I missed it too. read more

Tongva Days + Know Your Tribe (Stephen Ruiz)

Welcome to Friday folks.  ‘Twas a good morning in Santa Monica spent frolicking around Tongva park even though the sun decided to stay hidden.  Often times a picture is worth 1,000 words so I’m going to let Lily’s magic speak for this morning.  This.shit.is.good.

What Makes a PR? (LAX)

I took a look at how Boston phrased PR day because like many others, I sometimes look to the mother tribe for advice.  First and foremost, PR day is the day you race against YOURSELF.  Every single person is different.  Sure, we dig it when you push one another, when we are right there going up those hills pushing you and you are pushing us.  We all love it when we do PR and get that extra rep, that extra step, and that extra burpee. read more

The Tribes are Strong (LAX)

As many of you know, this past weekend brought together over 100+ co-leaders from around the world.   It was called Meeting of the Minds or M.O.M. and none of us can stop talking or posting or writing about it (though let’s be honest, I really only post about November Project anyways…).  You put 100+ passionate people together – co-leaders who are new (I’m talking one week one into leading), folks who have been around a bit, and others who helped started this movement and have been around since the start.  The hype, the confidence, the learning, and the amount of knowledge.  Put all of that together in one campground and wow, the vibes were unbelievable. read more

Sweaty Sunrises (LAX)

What a week, what a week.  On Wednesday we had the special treat of traverbaling to the November Project West LA Crew and boy am I still sore from burpees.  But really, it was awesome to bring together the tribes on a day off and we couldn’t be happier to work alongside them and start this whole #NP_SoCal takeover.  We even had folks from SD traverbal up because well, it’s Los Angeles and Southern California’s favorite county.  I kid…sort of. read more

Grand Slam into the Weekend (LAX)

Never stop exploring.  Never grow up.  Never not having fun.  This morning we took to the field and threw together a pickup game of sorts in the theme of The Sandlot.  Fun fact – did you know The Sandlot is turning 25 this year?  Yikes, now I feel old.

ANYWAYS, who doesn’t love a game of baseball?  Even if you are more of the spectator of sorts, there’s cracker jacks and ice cream, and people watching?  Yeah, we didn’t include any of that in this morning’s workout. You’re welcome. read more

Back on My Feet (LAX)

This morning was on fire.  No I don’t mean the mountain (although nearby, there did happen to be a local fire 🙁 ) but no, I’m referring to the hard work that everyone put in and thus the energy that came from all of that effort.  I’m pumped up just thinking about it again.

During the 5:27 hour, we were excited to welcome in some new friends from the local Back on My Feet LA.   If you haven’t heard of this group, I highly recommend checking it out.  Back on My Feet is an amazing organization that helps combat homelessness with fitness as well as provides its members with education, job training, housing referrals, and so much more.  This particular crew meets downtown so it was fun for us to show them a little bit of the Griffith Park and have them running hill repeats with us. read more

Grand Park Pride (LAX)

Today’s workout was led in Downtown LA by three individuals with lots of energy and a passion for strength work (as evidenced by this morning’s workout) and today’s blog post is written by the wonderful Rachel Goldstein.  Before we dive in, some quick announcements (and obviously expanded at the bottom): read more
