Tornado Winds Subside for Morning of PRs and Hugs (DEN)

Today was the last workout of April, the last wednesday of April and the last day of April all at one time BOOM. I don’t know what that means but it might mean something pretty cool. I do know one thing: 30  minutes were put on the clock for hard and sweaty clover running. If you pushed yourself through even just one extra loop today, stop what you’re doing right now and pat yourself on the back. read more

Badgers of Honour (DEN)

The Denver November Project tribe earned their wknd through a double-digit deck. When you just aren’t satisfied with meager single-digit card flips, you flip again, if it’s the same color card, sum the cards and pump out summed number of reps. This makes for a quicker deck, and dangerously sculpted triceps. Oh and then we ran suicides, on hills, uphill both ways. The hooligans of the Denver tribe don’t ask questions, they simply compete. read more

Today’s blog post is brought to you by the very same Kaitlin’s that brought you today’s workout. While Lt Dan and Gen Molly are away today, they are with the tribe in spirit. Dan was physically with the Boston tribe doing important leader related things such as taking pictures with other leaders in weird poses, and Molly successfully (well, TBD) got a verbal from a woman wearing a 2013 BoMar jacket in line behind her at airport security. Turns out, TSA gets angry when you turn your head in the security scanner to maintain conversation with the person behind you, even if its to talk about rainbows, hugs and getting really fucking fit for free. So without further ado, I give you, The Kaitlins: read more

Strong As Bull (DEN)

How about that, we had more cowboys than cowgirls at today’s workout! This is clearly a first in November Project history, which typically attracts a 60/40 split of chicks and bros. In fact, academic studies and Facebook polling have shown that women are more likely to exercise in the morning than their lazy, groggy counterparts. And ladies are more likely to attend in pairs or groups, just like when they ask their friends to go to the bathroom with them at a club… the dude abides. Blokes on the other hand are more likely to sleep in and exercise ALONE in the evening. Sounds depressing. Enter November Project: Chaps just show up, get their sweat on, flex for the senoritas, and exude their go-getter ambition & boyish charm with unlimited hips-in hugs. read more

Drop Zone (DEN)

Things that happened today that you should know about:

There was no TP in the porter potty. Clearly demand is high so please bring your own TP to workouts from now on. Lt Dan can’t fit anymore junk in his backpack.

We did hill accelerations.

We did mountain climber turned push-up tabatas.

We debated the timing of Tabata intervals. read more

Rejuvi-Nation (DEN)

The tribe experienced a rebirth today. The Lieutenant General took the kids to explore a new playground a few blocks away from our residence in Civic Center Park. Our destination: the west stairs of Colorado’s Gold Dome. The intimidating Mile High Stairs (rumor has it the 13th step is 5,280 feet above sea level) leading up to the Capitol Building proved to be the refreshing, challenging, & invigorating change of pace that the tribe needed. read more

All in the family (DEN)

Today was a reminder that winter can be cold and it snows in Denver whenever it damn well pleases. But that didn’t stop the crazies from heading to the hills and planking each other off. #Weatherproved. Dan showed up drunk and couldn’t remember the epic workout he dreamed up so the team did the antibody loop that we know and love featuring a special circle shaped planking event, and all followed by an awkard family portrait (complete with red headed bastard step child- can you spot him?). It happened, and it was real. read more

Cold Kickin It (DEN)

Happy Freakin Friday morning, world! We are happy you are here, we are happy you are reading this, and we are happy you have made the effort (soon??) to participate in a November Project workout in one of our 15 cities.

Today the 5280 tribe took to the Governor’s front lawn, played some one-touch soccer, and listened to music. Wait a tick, that was just the warm up right? Right, next the tribe embarked on accelerated sprints up the Governor’s very own hill at his very own park. These sprints quickly became super-charged thanks to the piercing shrills of MGMHM, that surely woke up the Governor’s dog. read more
