Last night was Fat Tuesday, so naturally the entire city of San Francisco was ready for…um…skinny Wednesday? McClayton set up the tribe in pairs of equal ability, so the already chaotic workout could flow with an “organized chaos” feel. In reality, we just wanted to see people team up who did not previously know each other because the exercises assigned were of the awkward nature. And nothing makes the McClayton happier than strangers becoming friends as they assume a compromising position for the sake of toned triceps.
Coit + Us
If it feels like this morning’s jaunt about the Coit Tower steps was a long time ago, it’s probably because it was. It’s been over 13 hours since we gathered in the rain and fog and took down the 364 steps it is from base to summit. So why are you just reminiscing about it now? Because that’s how long on a typical work day it takes Clayton to get his shit together and write the blog post. Well sorry I’m not sorry. I took like 30 buzzfeed quizzes at work today, and I’d do it again. I always knew I was a Shoshanna, and now it’s been officially verified. So take THAT! Speaking of procrastination, the hell are you even doing right now? Its 8:30 on a Friday night and you’re reading the November Project blog? You #earnedyourweekend. I saw you do it. Didn’t you join NP to make friends? What, you can’t figure out sequined spandex what tights to wear to Bootie tonight? Just go with the sluttier ones. You’ll still going to look like a virgin next to Weston.
You Smell What I’m Stepping In? San Francisco Prom 2014
San Francisco is classing up the November Project world. For some reason, completely unknown to the McClayton, racers are now dressing up in their Sunday best for PR Wednesday. Whether it be Brad Geswein’s floor length sparkle gown, or Tantek’s three piece suit, the tribe looked oddly good as they gathered in Alamo Square this morning. Word on the street is that people are even talking about possibly eliminating cursing from their NPSF routine. But we all know that’s a fucking lie.
A message from Canada
To our Amercian tribe,
Today was a glorious day for Canada and thus, for the World. Our wonderful homeland altered alcohol consumption laws overnight, ignored labor laws to keep our establishments open and switched Church to Monday so that we could watch the men’s final hockey game as a nation united at 5AM Mountain Standard Time. Roads and beds were empty, people choosing instead to stand in line outside the bars at 4AM in -30 degrees Celsius to get a good seat or congregating as tribes at each others homes consuming copious amounts of pure maple syrup, Tim Hortons coffee and beaver bacon.
Confused and Endangered Snowy Bojan Makes a Home in Alamo Square
NEWS IN BRIEF – Wildlife – Fitness – Serbia – Feb 19, 2014
At half past 6am this morning, a sizable crowd gathered to view a sight few native Californians have witnessed – a live Snowy Bojan in San Francisco. The predominantly hairless creature is more frequently spotted in cooler climates, such as Boston and Serbia, but was seen today apathetically rolling in the grass prompting fitness enthusiasts to stop and take notice.
Friday’s Quickly Becoming “Bring Your Parents to NP” in San Francisco
Two weeks ago, Phil and Marla Zipin took San Francisco by storm. They had milkshakes at Ghiradelli Square, rode tricycles across the Golden Gate Bridge, and purchased their first pair of skinny jeans in the Mission. News spread like wildfire from coast to coast, as many of our newest members are not San Francisco residents, but rather the parents of the tribe members. With the newest outbreak of the late-adulthood-pre-retirement age group utilizing social media, parent’s are now “liking” our status updates, sharing our photos, and visiting our blog at alarming rates. There was even one occasion where Sam Livermore’s mother clicked on the NPSF homepage 87 times in a 2 hour period. The Zipin coverage received record breaking traffic, but unfortunately it was not all positive.
House of Cards Premieres at SF Workout
Any workout that ends with a plank-off between Pete Kruse and Ben Fox is a successful workout in my opinion. Mark it off the list! Check! Congratulations to all the plank-off contestants, particularly the winner Pete. You have inspired us all to go home and attempt an 8 minute plank. I am actually planking while writing this post. Which is why it shall be a short one.
Bike Gang Eats Small Dogs (i.e. Barnum) For Breakfast
There is a new gang on the streets of San Francisco. As if this city didn’t already have enough on it’s plate; a drought, Google bus blockades, people having difficulty selling their 22 million dollar homes…etc. etc. Now there is a group of young males (and soon to be females) ripping up the streets of SF on two wheels, some even without helmets, GASP! Made up of a eclectic group of athletic and impressively good looking men, with the token Frenchman, this gang is to be feared. So hide yo kids. Hide yo wife. And hide yo small dogs that are easily taken down by the BGSF for some early morning protein.
Which Coast Boasts the Most? Read Post:
A classic battle unfolded at dusk this morning as 110 migratory yahoos touched down on the lush and fertile plains of Alamo Square. Two groups of 55 faced off — East Coast versus West Coast. The difference? A Mississippi delta. Stella watched anxiously from the sidelines…
At last, the groups settled their differences and paired up for a series of partner exercises, including the ever-awkward ‘back-to-back partner squats,’ which quickly and predictably devolved into ‘partner butt bumps.’ I believe that’s third base? I don’t know much about basketball…
Mr. And Mrs. Zip Run SF
If one of the members of the SF tribe got shipped off to Alcatraz, who would it be? I am going to start this hypothetical non-sense with Mr. Jorge Moreno. Jorge would most likely end up voluntarily swimming there for fun, arrive, and be confused that there wasn’t a rave to attend, look at the guard and announce that “this shit is whack, I’m out” before hopping back in the water. Jorge, I am going to pretend that this is where you were this AM, instead of running hills with your family.
