Wisconsin Notes:
1. We finally got snow
2. Sunrise 6 K Monday December 21st at the Forks. 6:14 AM
3. Sara Morrison is awesome

At long last we – the co-winners of the most weatherproof tribe award – have some weather that is worth getting excited about. And it’s about goddamn time, I have a feeling a recently joined NP Tribe may be taking home the award next year. Yes I’m talking about you Reykjavik.
Little Bit of Love
Wisconsin notes: Sign the waiver by signing up to our tracker here. This morning was nice. Nate is a beast.
I don’t know about you guys but I found this morning difficult. It could be somewhat related to the ass kicking delivered by Sami Squire at Awesome last night (what up Core Flow crew?!) but those stairs took a lot out of me, and I don’t think I have any more hoisties left to hoist – the sign of a great morning, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. As always the energy was infectious, the smiles were wide, and surprisingly enough the weather was more comparable to a brisk Edmonton winter day than one we would expect in Winnipeg this time of year (what up NP Canada??) – it all made for another stellar, beautiful, memorable day with all of you – and i’m so glad you were here.
Wood Bridge Welcome
Wisconsin Notes:
Tracker. Do it. DO IT HERE! NOW
Monday December 21st – Sunrise 6K

Today was an unseasonably warm Manitoba December day, -10 celsius but completely dark for the entirety of the workout. Of course that didn’t stop close to 100 of us from getting out of bed, throwing on a few layers and heading down to the Forks for a relentless assault on our legs.
Winterpeg Pride
Wisconsin notes: This morning was awesome. You people are awesome. Derrick is awesome. Nothing special to note in the below blog post except a whole bunch of awesome. Track your P.R. from today, and create an account to sign the waiver (if you haven’t already). It takes 5 seconds and helps to ensure that we can keep this workout free and fierce for years to come! See you next week – same bat place, same bat channel.

Before jumping in to today’s guest blog here’s a few announcements:
#BetterThanBedtime: This Sunday November 8th at 8 pm – meeting at the Skatepark. We will go for a Yog around the Forks and throw in a few fun surprises, before gathering at the Fox and Fiddle to toast this wonderful community and the 4th year anniversary of November Project. Wear black for the run. Wear a headlamp. Wear your #GrassrootsGear underneath. And come drink some #GrassrootsBeer.
Who Ya Gonna Call?
#LateBlog. Life and stuff. C’est la vie.
Wisconsin notes: #BetterThanBedtime November 8 at 7 pm. Do it.
Leading up to the workout this week – the Mondays and Tuesdays of days gone passed – I was having a really hard time getting excited for Wednesday morning. Call it a seasonal depression as I watch it getting super dark in the morning, and all the rainy sleety awfulness that we were experiencing was just gettin me down. We have been solidly over 100 tribe members at every workout since June, and I thought for sure this would be the week that tested who the core members really are. How many will get out of bed in negative temperatures when its been raining all night? 50? 60? Just a few smiling faces would be great, right??
A Long, Long Time Ago (YWG)
A long, long time ago
I can still remember how Wednesdays used to be like every other day
If I knew that given just one chance
I could get up, workout, and bust out a dance
Then maybe I’d be happy for a while?
The October morning – it made me shiver
But like every Wednesday, it did deliver
Frog jumps up the astronomy steps
TIMBER!!! (YWG)
I’ll admit I was a little bit apprehensive heading in to this mornings Lumberjack Games. We try to bring the weird on the regular every single Wednesday morning – but had we gone to far this time? Are we really going to ask more than 100 grown humans to not only dress like Lumberjacks at 6 am, but to slowly waltz with each other to the classic Log Drivers Waltz? Roll around together on a dewy lawn doing half pushups on each others ankles?
Weatherproof (YWG)
Pre-blog note: Click here to put your P.R. times in the tracker. Or just use it to sign the waiver. But definitely, definitely do that. Good talk. Go do it.
Another Wednesday morning, another 10 minutes less light we get at the workout. I don’t think i’ve ever fully appreciated how quickly the seasons change than getting to watch the sun slowly fade into oblivion through the month of September. Its neat to watch, but with the change of season brings the inevitable – #winteriscoming.
Out of the Darkness (YWG)
Today was one of those morning that absolutely flew by. From the moment we all gathered in the dark (100+ adults and 1 baby) there was a good vibe. The cold air got a little warmer as we huddled for the bounce, the music was loud and on point and people worked hard and laughed alongside their friends – new and old. It didn’t hurt that as we traversed the River Walk, the sunrise created a beautiful painting of pinks and blues and oranges across the Eastern sky – it doesn’t get much better in September. Solid workout, solid people that is the gist of it!
