Wisconsin notes: Sign the waiver by signing up to our tracker here. This morning was nice. Nate is a beast.
I don’t know about you guys but I found this morning difficult. It could be somewhat related to the ass kicking delivered by Sami Squire at Awesome last night (what up Core Flow crew?!) but those stairs took a lot out of me, and I don’t think I have any more hoisties left to hoist – the sign of a great morning, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. As always the energy was infectious, the smiles were wide, and surprisingly enough the weather was more comparable to a brisk Edmonton winter day than one we would expect in Winnipeg this time of year (what up NP Canada??) – it all made for another stellar, beautiful, memorable day with all of you – and i’m so glad you were here.
Couldn’t get away without a quick shout out to the Lulu Polo Park crew – your support for the tribe is incredible, the energy you have brought since that first fateful day on garbage hill (seems like a million years ago now, eh?) is what keeps us going week in week out – and you keep surprising us again and again, this morning with a very Oprah-like “gift cards for EVERYBODY!!!” So much love for the communities you guys are building all over the city – it is inspiring to watch, and we are so happy you chose to bring the NP Winnipeg tribe in to your family.

Many of you may not know this, but Nate has been putting up with Tom and I long before most of you have decided to show up and (for some strange reason) listen to us on Wednesday mornings. The three of us used to live together, and even long before that we have been, to quote the great Galifianakis, the three best friends that anyone could have. As you can imagine – putting up with Tom and I can be quite the burden; our over-the-top, outrageous, and often misdirected enthusiasm can be tiresome at the best of times, and Nate has seen more than his fair share directed at his expense. Often the brunt of severe (although admittedly super funny) pranks and insults, he has put up with the two of us to an extent well above and beyond what we deserve. It has been awesome to watch Nate grow in to an incredible athlete over the last few years – having not grown up playing sports like Tom and I, Nate seemed to always find himself coming up short in feats of athleticism and coordination… That is, until he actually started trying – and turned in to a sub-1:30 half marathoner, and can compete on our level in just about everything (except ping pong of course). While I will still refuse to acknowledge his prowess and would never admit this to his (stupid) face, I am proud of his determination to “be better” and pumped whenever he beats Tom at sports.
Ever since we started these early morning workouts, Nate has brought that dedication and smooth, composed enthusiasm to helping us build this community week after week, and once again, his efforts have gone largely unappreciated. He is very deserving of the positivity award, and it’s a great chance for Tom and I to say thanks to a great friend, tribe member, and brother.
Much Love,
November Project Winnipeg
