WARNING: You will most likely leave the workout feeling amazing, sweaty, alive, and on top of all that you will meet more good people in 1 hr than you have in the last 6 months. Still unsure ? Have Questions ? The Story Behind The MovementThe Phoenix Pop-Up Recap by Brogan Graham
Jackie, Trevor, and the many faces that have made up the last number of weeks of the November Project Pledge process here in Phoenix have gone on faith. They believe in what they were told in Runner’s World back in December 2013. Jackie believes in her perspective shift when she discovered Danny & Steve and November Project DC on her 3 month stay there just a year ago. Trevor believes in what the Padula-trio at November Project San Diego brought to his life both physically and socially over the last year and wants to build something as strong in his home town. These two pledging co-leaders are believers in what all of us our building in all 19, 20, 21, 22 cities (or however many we have coming down the line right now). They believe in good people and fierce efficient workouts that happen at sunrise in any weather condidtions, they really do.
Phoenix Arizona is Pledging, Popping Up, & Needs Your Recruiting Help
We are hosting a 6AM November Project Arizona Pop-Up Workout at Papago Park on Wednesday, May 27th. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “But I live in ____ which is _______ (hundreds of) miles from there and for sure can’t make it.” Though that may be true, you can do one of two things to build this experience for those who WILL be there…
Paris (FRANCE) Pop-Up by Andrew Ference
Last night, well… now this was a week ago, just before I went to sleep, I got this text message from one of my favorite professional hockey players:
“Want to do up one of your fancy NP pop up pics for Paris? Friday June 5th 6:29AM? Trocadéro Gardens (Jardins du Trocadéro) across the river from the Eiffel Tower. This is going to be f’ing awesome!” – Andrew Ference of the Edmonton Oilers
What Went Down in Vancouver, B.C. (Canada)
We were there. Not “WE” as in Bojan and BG, the fearless leaders of the charming world takeover group known as News Channel 19, oh no. When we say “WE” we’re referring to the 65 athletes, the two Co-Founders (got into Canada with only one passport between the two of us – weird), and one hell of a raincloud that hilariously kicked in at 6:32AM and wrapped up just after the group photo.
Popping Up in Vancouver & Whistler THIS WEEK!
Here’s the deal: We have a famous friend and his name is Andrew Ference. He plays hockey as a way to pay rent and buy food. He skates, he skates backwards, he sometimes uses a puck, he usually wears pads while holding a hockey stick, and he generally gets shit done. As the captain of the Edmonton Oilers (though many of his fans back in Boston are still in denial that he’s actually gone), he knows how to lead a mob of athletes. As Andrew and his perfect haircut both stepped up in early 2013 to build November Project Edmonton, we all had a strong feeling that this was just the beginning of the “AF Reach.” This week, in thee VERY different cities, Andrew, the Co-Founding Fathers of November Project, and the badass Co-Leaders of November Project New York City, are going to attempt to make even more noise than usual. So, read the details below and hold onto your PRINT MEDIA, because this shit is going to be wild… and fun… and fierce… and FREE.
#TheTribeCanWriteTellAlls
The note from Caleb Daniloff, a.k.a. Ethan Bookman:
The gun has officially fired on this book project thingamajig and work is under way. I love and appreciate all the support and enthusiasm. Definitely makes solitary work feel, well, not so solitary. While BG, Bojan, and I are ultimately putting this thing together, it’s your story, too. Every tribe member has contributed to NP’s ever-growing narrative and we want that represented in the final product. So I’m working on an oral history that will hopefully offer a colorful, compelling ground-level view from around North America of this ridiculously singular movement. Our dude Tony DiPasquale has kindly created a simple submission form where you can enter your content for possible inclusion in the book. I’ve posed a bunch of questions. You don’t have respond to every single one, but neon stars for those who do. Be personal, be specific, be yourself. I’m looking to have all tribe material in by late February. Truckloads of thanks in advance.
Portland & Seattle Pop-Up Workouts (1/14 & 1/16, 6:29AM)
We’ve had success in a few of our November Project Nomad & our Pop-Up Workouts over the past year. From London (UK) to Portland (Maine) to Portland (Oregon), people have come out by the dozens to get a taste of this fitness revolution first hand, as we host a one-time event in cities that don’t yet have NP tribes. Each time we come into a new city we’re always excited to find out who gets out of bed to join us. We’re proud to say that in 2015 we’re hoping to build tribes in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington as well as the many other cities who are currently pledging to create an NP in their city. So we’re hittin’ the road and will #JustShowUp to host a workout in each city this month. Get hyped, this is real.
November Project PWM – Part Deux (Nomad)
The Tribe is Strong. The Tribe is growing. The movement is spreading. It can’t be contained. It shouldn’t be contained. It won’t be contained.
My New Year’s plans brought me to the beautiful city of Portland, Maine. At first I was excited to explore a new city with friends, but then an overwhelming sense of panic kicked in. Wait, I’ll have to miss a November Project! Major FOMO set in.
Ticket
This is NOT a parking ticket! This ticket is meant to get people to actually stop and pay attention. In a world that has everyone’s eyes, ears, and emotions dominated with phones, tablets, and screens of all kinds, you must be fun, new, and creative if you want to stay relevant. We ask you to write something funny or something kind and leave this for someone to find. It will make their day and it could change their life. If nothing else, you’ll feel FUN, new, and creative while doing it.
