With the smell of molded broccoli, baby diapers and that wet spinach at the bottom of the bag permeating the bottom of the hill, many of you may have questioned our location. We had originally planned to do an arm workout at the Santa Monica bathrooms plunging away, but the influx of tourist would have us working too hard.
Los Feliz Hill God Summoning (LAX)
You read it right. The witch hunters were looking in the wrong place all about Salem when they we’re burning people at the stake and tying stones to legs and throwing them into lakes. Obviously, all you wickens know the possibility of being drowned out here is impossible thanks o the draught. By god you should have seen you all fly this morning up Los Feliz hill for some stellar repeats. The burpee conjuring at the bottom had y’all cackling in glee.
Culinary Study of Heat (LAX)
Who knew that we would consider burpees to be a rest. Hot Zone, one of the tougher workouts we over here at #np_lax. It’s safe to say that this one is spicy. We’re talking Buffalo sauce rubbed all over your burning quads, chili peppers placed delicately on your glutes and jalepenos, sure enough enough to sweat your face off. Who knew we could create such a culinary master piece of a work out. Simplicity goes a long way. The extra kick, three burpees if you are tagged at the cue to Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” over the megaphone. Now you’ll probably cringe at the thought of the piano lessons you had as a kid.
JULY 3rd a.k.a. When The Motherland Owned This Bitch (LAX)
July the 3rd. Many of you know it as preparation for BBQ’s, sunburns, sweaty bodies and late nights filled with fireworks. But what you don’t know is this is still the day that Brits celebrate owning this land. Yeah, we’re talking that east coast colony plastered with red coats. You could say we’re still a little butt sore about it, but we cherish today and imagine what this land would look like. Pubs on every corner, a queen to aspire to, better chocolate, better bacon, shepard’s pie for breakfast, lunch and dinner, posh accents, a following of the football, Adidas pronounced Ah-dee-dahs, James Bond, tea and crumpets, marmite and toast, bangers and mash (getting the potato theme), finger sandwiches, currency with the queen on it, Doctor Hu…Who, the boy who lived, toad in the hole, double decker buses for transportation not site seeing, funny hats, shitty rainy weather, bad teeth, accents that shift 15 miles away, only potatoes for dinner, you follow a queen who just waves and lastly one direction.
oh Can of Duh! (LAX)
You may be questioning the title. take it and run with it! OH Canada!
We started out today discovering where some of our friends are from. Grouping up into our respective states we found new connections we never knew were there. Pair up and we’ve got couples retreat on our hands. Every single one of you crushed it! Couple Retreat is not an easy workout and we can really say that you grabbed it by it’s balls and curb stomped it on to the hollywood bowl stairs.
Out of This World (LAX)
Easy to say that this morning was out of this world. Starting off with a supreme bounce lead by Steve that supposedly could be heard from trails all around Griffith. Warming up with belly roll sprints to get those juicy legs nice and warm. Kicking it off with a lung heaving, sweat dripping, sunrise jawdropping workout that makes us recognize that this place is beautiful! Running through the clouds to open up into sunshine called for the perfect running weather.

We Should Have Known. (LAX)
We Should Have Known:
Flash back to my 3 feet 10 inches stage, aka when I was five. I play on the the Purple Pirates soccer team with our Liverpool coach Mr. Doyle and my dad as our coaches. Mike may have had too much sun in his hay day and looked like a tanning bed model at the end of his decades of hard work in the industry- I still see him trotting on the beach after all these years. He warns me every single time I see him that he’ll “cut my tail off if I get too close to his daughter”. Only now have I figured out what he means by this. Very ironic in the scheme of things. Besides worrying that I had a tail, I would always attempt to play by chasing after the endlessly rolling ball like all the other mop headed nuggets. But we really know that I was in it for the Caprisun juice and the soccer mom perfection cut orange slices after the game. When it came to game day I’d find myself getting sidetracked, from the kindergarteners moshpit of “soccer”, by picking the flowers on the field and handing them to my mom. It’s at this point that I say “We Should Have Known.” And in case you were wondering, no they weren’t pansies, but I guess I walked right into that one.

Oh Baby You, You Got What We Need! (LAX)
At November Project the most important thing about this tribe is you. You come and you make efforts, gains and new discovers shared with all the others that creates “we”. We as a collective are all in this together, but we would not be possible without you. This collection of unique, diverse, determined and all together badass group of individuals makes the best definition of community that I know and have seen in LA. With a carefree mentality and a willingness to jump right in to any challenge I am always in awe at the true genuine power every single one of you have.
