This week was my one year leadaversary !!!  I have learned/observed a few things in the past 365 days.

1.

Power of the verbal: I know a lot of people are afraid to make the verbal because this may happen  https://november-project.com/the-morning-sam-was-a-wee-dodgy/ , BUT know when you make a verbal you are not just making the commitment to yourself to show up but you are also making it to your team. “Oh Mark is going today, cool haven’t chatted with him in awhile I must go!” “I told Katie I was going so I can’t let her down”. Stating that you are going to be there on Wednesday encourages your fellow members that they will have a buddy in the AM  (Sam and I can only be so entertaining!) And the I miss you pages are purely done out of love because when you don’t show up we really do MISS YOU !! read more

A lot of big milestones were reached or conquered this week. The Chicago cubs won the world series. They hadn’t won a world series since 1908, that’s 108 years! (Makes the Leaf’s situation look alright, but we don’t have a goat curse to blame it on). Sam got to go home for the first time in over 2 years! I finally conquered the Y’all good???! And November Project is celebrating it’s 5 year anniversary. read more

The work out was simple. Focusing on the core for our little racers this weekend, we had multiple core moves, with burpees obviously, add a loop of the castle and VOILA ! The perfect pre race work out! read more

Today was a very special day for the NP world. We added two more cities to the NP fam, London and Amsterdam!!! WELCOME !!!! This was a little extra special for Sam and I as Sam is obvy a Brit and I like to think myself as Dutch. Hup Hup Holland !!! It is pretty incredible to think that Wednesday morning when you are getting out of bed, are giving those sweaty hugs, sprinting up those stairs, burpeeing those burpees, there are two cities across the Atlantic doing the same thing, for the same reasons. Because where else on a weekday morning can you find yourself going out for your comfort zone (aka bouncing and screaming obstanities, hug complete strangers), meeting amazing encouraging people, while doing a burpee all by 7am?? Because this shit IS nice. Our little YYZ is a part of something much bigger which is pretty darn cool !! read more

Wow one year has flown by. It is hard to imagine we were #Np_pledging just one short year ago, burpeeing and stairsing to win the hearts of the NP dads. Founding Mother and Father, Clare and Sam really brought something incredible to Toronto.

We are lucky enough to share our birthday with one of the greats of the west coast, NP Seattle !!! I mean they invented the Starbucks, the wireless telephone (do we even know what those are anymore), the donut maker (Timmies and Francis thank -you), the backpack, Pictionary (let’s play tonight!), water skis, the heart defibrillator!!  You might be happy to know in Toronto we invented Buckleys, 5-pin bowling and the Whoopee cushion. You are welcome world !! And we have Drake. (Sorry Clare the inventions in Hamilton were limited, something about the first ever water fountain, guess you got to come back!!!). read more
