Thank You (DC)

Good Afternoon
I was up in Portland, Maine for most of last week and missed our Turkey Day workouts but wanted to pass along a boom and thanks to y’all.

Thank you to all the new people who continue to show up and keep this group growing and evolving.

Thank you to the early goers who thought we were the shit before the masses had heard of us. read more

Where Has Your Gym Taken You? (DC)

Today we took the the National Gallery of Art for our 6:30 am free fitness overload. In theme with today’s guest blog post, take a second to think about that: tourists from all over the world come to these iconic locations that we have become burpee friendly with and we do it every week. We are turning our city into our playground and will continue to do so until the world doesn’t need more community and/or free fitness. Take it away, Katie Courtin.  read more

Then Came November Project

Two nights ago, I received a message from Ron Buch. Ron detailed the impact November Project has had on his life, his fitness, and his outlook on community. After asking him if it’s okay to share with the world, here is a piece from our very Ron Buch. The Tribe is ageless, the Tribe is for everyone, the Tribe is strong.  read more

Valor Fog (DC)

A night after 800,000 went to the mall for a free concert, we took one billion people to the Lincoln Memorial for free fitness.

As always thank you to the Veterans that allow us to do what we do. One day of thanks doesn’t quite cut it.

Today we welcome first timers across both 5:30 & 6:30. The message is clear: keep showing up, make new friends, build this community, and accidentally get cut in the process. read more

Tattoos & #511 (DCA)

Good Evening DC,

As most you all know by now, we went ahead and knocked our goal out of the ball park, out of the city, out of the mother fucking planet.  That is a testament to each and every one of you. The repeated messages, calls, proposals to hangout with old friends…at 6:30 am, there are no wrong ways to recruit, and you guys proved to be great at it. read more

The Push to #500

The final push. We had a birthday, Halloween, PRWeek, all hyping towards this Wednesday. We’ve hit 489, 450, 440. We are close to the mark, to the #TattooVerbal. We have created a challenge to bring out your inner fire and inner recruiter. Hype the fact that you are a part of a free fitness movement that is sweeping the District. Hype that people in the House, Senate, in the Oval office do not start off their morning with the same energy that you do. read more
