A Swift Kick In The….

We ROCKED the hills of Brookline this morning.  Seriously.  Showed up there like SCISSORS ready to tear them into cutout PAPER snowflakes…  WHOOOPs! Sorry — wayyyy to soon to start droppin’ winter references in Boston…

Well, Boston, if you’re still with me after that slip-up, rest assured, nothing I say from here on out could come close to being as offensive as that. read more

Our Normal Wednesday.

Somewhere between the sound of the collective FUCK YEAH this morning at the base of 37, the OH SHIT‘s as people lined up to race a double frogger, the somewhat terrified look as the new kids tackled their very first section EVER at Harvard Stadium and the wet ass prints that we ALL left behind at section 25… I realized (again) how insanely unusual, rare and all around razor sharp this community is.   This might be stemming from missing all your beautiful melons the last few days, or just the fact that every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning I get hyped AF.  But really, this stuff right here, is decent. read more

This is not about Indiana Jones.

Consider this your fair warning – I’m writing a blog on Indiana Jones after RUNNING Indiana Jones.  Honestly, I can’t Capozzi much harder than this. Excuse all grammar, spelling and nonsensical language (sorry Ethan Bookman).  Welcome to the world of deciphering overly excited Capozzi texts. read more

Marathon Monday.

“If you’re reading this, stop reading now. Leave work, get off your butt, and head to Mile 18.

There were approximately 7,000 people at the #DestinationDeck this morning. We did things. None of that matters anymore.

All those people are gonna be at Mile 18. This is what matters.”

So apparently it’s Marathon Monday again according to dumber and dumberer… read more

Routines.

This blog is written by Erika Anderson, Tribe Babysitter and All-around Badass.  She kept the #mothership afloat on Friday along with the steady hand of Brett Vankoski.  Thank you Erika for all you do for this tribe.  Dig into Erika’s words below…she’s got some shit to say that is so good.

They came in 2, 3, 4…HUNDREDS.

Happy Friday Fuckers (might as well continue with this whole bad-cop thing)!  Yup this is Capoze with the mic… or the pen, fuck, typewriter…but you get the point.  Other than the intro lines of this blog, this morning was about no bullshit.  It was awesome.

We did more of what we do every other day.  Break rules and have a straight-up love fest.  Well, since corporate was undercover with us this morning, we hugged and got in a really fun, friendly, sweat-inducing workout.  The later sounds stupidly boring… read more

The North (End) Faces.

#neverstopexploring your city.

Welcome to the historic North End of Boston, Massachusetts in the grand ole’ US of A.

We had little expectation showing up to this Tuscan sunlight filtered plaza looking across the Mediterranean Coast Boston Harbor.  But turns out this place was an absolute dynamite.  Throw everything that NP loves into one spot and this one couldn’t be better.  Uneven brick and cobblestone sidewalks for sprinting (smart), concrete stairs for racing (even smarter), back-chewing concrete for grinding our booties (now we’re just being assholes) and Italian residents for spectating the chaos… yup THIS is absolute perfection. read more

#We’reOnTheMove

Is it cool to put apostrophes in hashtags?  Well I just did it so that’s what we’re working with today. Clearly my mind is all over the place….kind of like this morning’s workout.  We crammed three destination decks into one so you got three times the free fitness for the same low cost of $0.  Considering we spent less than 10 minutes in any one spot today, let’s keep the recap quick – Wisconsin notes style –  and then boogey on with our days.  We’re in the no chill zone this week, kicking off Monday strong and hitting the ground running. read more

Visitors Pass.

Over the last few weeks Boston’s gotten to know today’s PA winner, Eugene Kim.  This dude’s been everywhere where NP is.  I guess since he’s been bumming around the city and got nothing else to do, hanging out with us at NP isn’t so bad.

C-Payne mentioned it this morning, but we didn’t give him the award for his speed, his positivity, or how good he looks in women’s capris, which by the way, he definitely sets the bar high for all of the above.  He earned the Positivity Award today because over the last 7 weeks he’s left his mark on this tribe.  7 weeks ago, I was only friendly with this bearded, man-bunned athlete.  And in those 7 weeks, a lot of us in this tribe have gotten to know Euge.  Today, he’s not just an NPSD visitor going back home, he’s a brother leaving us to return to the always sunny Saaan Diego.   Whether you visited him at the Janji Store, he’s slept on your couch, grabbed some brews (and most likely shots of tequila), or just raced him at one of the workouts, this dude became part of the family in a short time.  For me personally he also reminded me about what a BIG part of this movement is about. The idea of being a visitor. Today’s blog is not a love-fest for Eugene (ok it kinda is), but it’s about being a visitor in your home. read more

Guest Post: By Erika Anderson of NP Boston

There are two athletic achievements that, upon completion, made me feel invincible.  The first: giving birth to my oldest daughter; the second: completing my first full tour of Harvard stadium.  Today, the annual celebration of one and the weekly repetition of the other happily coincided.  My oldest daughter turns 7, and what better way to celebrate that spunky girl who gave me the first taste of invincibility than a tour around the iconic horseshoe that returned that flavor of invincibility? read more
