Now that our fingers are nice and toasty, I can get right into writing up this here blog post. Now today wasn’t the coldest day we’ll see this winter, nor was it the windiest. But it was below freezing so Brendan had to put on full length pants this week, and some chick name J-Fresh showed up in a duck covered onsie… simply awesome
Remember the 5th of November
Guy Fawkes was unable to attend the Chi-Town workout, but a ton of other people did! There were dogs! Party hats! And Dozens of cupcakes with unnaturally blue frosting (and fishy sprinkles)!
We easily had our biggest turnout yesterday, both as a city and a worldwide Tribe, and we couldn’t have ask for a better birthday gift. Now its time for this leader to start designing his commemorative tattoo!
This is Halloween… #PRwednesday
Boys and girls of every age
Wouldn’t you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This, our Tribe on Halloween
This is NP, this is Halloween
“Fuck Yeah!” is screamed in the early light
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Run fast to the hill in your costumes, what a sight!
It’s our town, everybody PR!
It’s the Tribe on Halloween
Cards and Planks and Buddies… Oh My
It is officially that time of year when November Project rises as the sun is hitting the snooze button for another 30 minutes of sleep. The Chicago Tribe doesn’t know the meaning of the snooze button on Wednesday mornings. Blurry eyed and wearing more layers then we have been used to these past few months, Chi-Town showed up with old and quite a few new faces alike. Fearless Leader Andy got us hopping, hugging, and running to the field!

“I wasn’t hooked at first. When Brent approached me in February 2014 about some workout group he was starting, I was skeptical.
“Help start something awesome,” Brent said.
It was early in the morning – snowing! – and icy water squicked through my running shoes as we ran through Museum Campus that first pledge morning in March. It was fun, I guess. But I wasn’t sure the workout was for me (there were hills! I had to use my ab muscles!). And I wasn’t sure it was worth the drive in Chicago traffic. I decided I wasn’t coming all the way back.
Hugs, Bugs, #PRThugs
Last week we left everyone with the goal of recruiting their asses off for #PRWednesday. The good news is we saw a bunch of #newbies out today, and the tribe is growing stronger. Now for the bad news. Somehow the word was strong among insect communities today, and they were there in fuckin’ droves… or swarms, whatever. If mosquitos count toward our goal of #3014, lets start drafting up the tats right now. This might be appropriate ink to pay homage to our new skeeter friends…
Draw Cards, Sweat, Recruit the City #3014
How does one come down from the epic energy of the #NPSUMMIT last weekend? One doesn’t. One brings that shit to the workout on Wednesday morning and recruits one’s ass off during the week. We’ll get back to this…
It was a fucking gorgeous morning, with gorgeous people, and a kickass workout. We got our bounce on and welcomed the new folks with a “Fuck Yeah!” and then we were off to do a deck of cards. Grab a red card? Pushup-palooza. Black card? Burpee City. Pull an ace? Run over to Hoistee jail, where you do squats until another tribe member comes to free you. Face card? Sprint to around the backstop and back.
#NoParking in the Champagne Zone
Holler from the Windy (and rainy) City! The crowd was a little thin this morning, but fucking awesome, per usual. And they say April showers bring May flowers, but September showers clearly bring Traverbals! Erin from Edmonton, Natasha from NYC, and Stacey, Jarrod and Danielle all came from the motherland, Boston, MA! It’s exciting to meet tribe members from other cities, because it reminds me that our awesome and ever growing Chitown tribe is a part of something even bigger and more awesome.

September is time for revitalization in Chicago. Da Bears are back, Goose Island re-releases Rambler and Oktoberfest, and DePaul/Loyola/UChicago/
We’re not all about the new though. Today’s workout was a throwback to the old school. High School track practice to be more specific. We started with everyone’s favorite warm-up drills (butt flickers, bounding, etc.), maxed out on some wind sprints, threw in some ab work, and had an awesome time.
#QuackAttack Is Back
After a short Blog Haitus, NP Chicago is back and better than ever. What have we been up to the past few weeks? Besides getting the tribe #fitasfuck, Co-Leaders Brent and Andy have been hitting up some intense grammar workshops. We’ve attended communication seminars, social media classes, and just some “conjunction junction, whats your function” type shit. Having barely graduated with an associates in spelling, and analogies, we’re back and here to stay. Buckle up…
