Fake Parking Ticket

This is NOT a parking ticket! This ticket is meant to get people to actually stop and pay attention. In a world that has everyone’s eyes, ears, and emotions dominated with phones, tablets, and screens of all kinds, you must be fun, new, and creative if you want to stay relevant. We ask you to write something funny or something kind and leave this for someone to find. It will make their day and it could change their life. If nothing else, you’ll feel FUN, new, and creative while doing it. read more

Muchas Gracias

Today was a special day for the leaders of November Project Nola.  The best moment that you can have as a November Project leader is what we call a “Payday”.  Payday is any time when a tribe member lets you know that their life has been impacted in a positive way by November Project (all emails about lives that have been negatively impacted should be directed to prestonlr@yahoo.com).  This is the reason that we put in the time, energy and effort to continue to grow this group and spread the word about our community.  Today, the Payday was overwhelming.  Of course anytime someone gives you beer then it is a good day, but more importantly the letters and notes that we received justify and vindicate everything that we are trying to accomplish with this tribe. read more

GOAL ACHIEVED (3,934 TODAY!) by ALL NOVEMBER PROJECT TRIBES

The idea was rolled out in our large conference room at the #NPSUMMIT in Madison, Wisconsin. “Our collective goal will be to hit 3,014 or more total members before the end of 2014.” The room humbled with excitement the way marathoners sound on the starting line. “3,014 is an insane number that has never been a goal for any humans in the history of the planet. Plus, we’d like to think that in the year 3014 that they’ll still be talking about NP.” read more

PRetty Amazing

Now that we are back at the Dome, it was time for us to develop our PR Day workout. We have a feeling that most tribe members might have wished we hadn’t…

The day consisted of our usual morning routine of running the stairs at #ChampionSquare for a warm up. We then developed the “Superdome Second Line” route around the Dome that included multiple ramps and some more stairs for good measure. We asked everyone to try and complete the three lap workout as fast as possible within the 35 minute time cap. Thank God Preston was there today to handle the time keeping and that Cameron had a “bum” leg this morning and could direct traffic. What would we do without them! All in all, it was a tough workout and the standards have been set. We will know how the tribe improves and really feels about it on the next PR day- November 26th… ryan But, enough about today… Let’s get fired up about next week. The four leaders definitely don’t feel like cashing out on our 120 Burpee bet with #NP_MSP and we are pretty sure you don’t want to either! So bring your friends, enemies, hairdressers, baristas, cousins, kids and whomever else wants a damn good workout with some damn good people. We need ‘em all to hit our goal of 120 beautiful human beings next week. Remember to put yo makeup on and warm up your smiles because we are taking November Project Birthday/Yearbook pictures. 10624868_357757524391666_6521935064985201274_n The Positivity Award was given to Shelby today for returning back to #NP_NO for the second time this week. It was a hard workout and she had a smile on her face the whole time. Shelby had to leave before the award was given out but the positivity was still strong! Congrats Shelby! 10521936_357757561058329_8029414083435385506_n #JustShowUp #3014

Dial It Up

One of the best parts of being a November Project leader is the time just before the morning workout.  As you watch shadows of people trickle in to Champions Square, at first in singles and doubles and then a flooding of larger groups, you can feel an electricity start to grow.  Inevitably you have the hard core tribe member that show up extra early no matter what the conditions to get a little pre-workout in.  Then just before you hit GO TIME, the masses start to flood down the walkway of champion square with folks coming from every direction ready to get to work.  So many different thoughts go through your head as a tribe leader: Is this workout hard enough?  Is it too tough?  Did I put on a clean shirt? Yeah its clean, so where is that smell coming from?.  It is a great culmination of feeling anxious, happy, and nervous all at the same time.  All of that building up to ….The Bounce. read more

#Mile14 Takeover

From our favorite hometown 5Ks to the Boston Marathon to The North Face Endurance Challenge Series, November Project tribes from across North America prove all year round we know how to #RACEEVERYTHING. We toe the starting line, proudly show off our #GrassrootsGear, and are probably making friends with the strangers right next to us in the corral. But when that gun goes off, we know that It. Is. Fucking. On. But we also know we have every member of the November Project community with us every step of the way — there to push us to put it all out there on the course and there to celebrate our sweaty successes.  Also, good reading material helps get you focused before the race.  These two had the right idea last year… read more

Birthday Yearbook Photos & FINAL 2014 RECRUITING DRIVE FOR 3014

2014 Birthday Yearbook Photos will take place at the workout on Wednesday, November 5th, 2014, in all 16 November Project cities. Will you be there?

Listen up world! We need your help, your butt in action, and your participation. One of our most successful days at November Project this summer in 17 cities was when we snapped our official Yearbook Photos. Once we posted these collections into our respective Facebook albums we essentially had our names-to-faces guide to the tribe. Now, we need to make a huge effort and we need all hands on deck as 2014 comes to a close. But instead of talking about the “close” let’s speak of the “open”… read more

Paddy Cake and a Blood Moon

What do paddy cake and a blood moon have in common?

A bad ass workout.

Will got thing real close during the bounce with some partner paddy cakes that put the tribe mentally back in third grade. That time in your life when all you worried about was your flag football teams next game, who’s house you were sleeping over at next weekend and what Nintendo game you were renting when you got there. Priceless feeling for about 20 seconds. (sorry, no pictures because it was Thanks Will.

#RACEDAY (And why the North Face Endurance Challenge in San Francisco should be your next #RACEDAY)

Note from the editor (a.k.a. the dude that’s pushing the post live):
BG and I just got back from the North Face Endurance Challenge in Utah where we watched Hannah Lippe from NP_DEN crush the competition in the women’s 50k race. We also saw Thunder Dan Berteletti finish third in the men’s 50k behind the dudes that make living from running trails. And then, we got humbled by altitude and elevation while the Boston-based duo of Tony and Chris was winning the marathon relay, rocking #GrassrootsGear across their chest. This weekend was amazing! We even have some photos to prove it. But enough about us. Here is Dan Clayton from NP_SFO reminding us that training is fun, but racing… that’s a whole new animal.
