Effing Racers (IND)

In the Race Capital of the World, NP Indy threw down this morning. The Up and Over was added to Race Day and it got dirty real quick. That’s how we do it, quick and dirty! BOOM.

  • Up and Over
  • 50 sit-ups
  • Up and Over
  • 50 push-ups
  • Up and Over
  • 50 mountain climbers
  • Up and Over
  • 25 burpees
  • Up and Over

The tribe chewed up those stairs/situps/pushups/mountainclimbers/burpees and spit them out like a redneck dippin’ at the racetrack. Great effing job today—that was vomit worthy! Seriously, y’all killed it. The effort, the positivity, the encouragement, the hugs—will keep us smilin’ the rest of the week. read more

Spicy Up and Over (IND)

Hallelujah! The south barricade was finally removed! The leadership’s excitement over this development necessitated a game change. Since our pledge days (November, ironically) this barricade has prevented us from going Up and Over. Well, no more!! BOOM! Today it was Up and Over with some spice. There’s a Gun Show this weekend, ya goin’? read more

Leeeeegz, They Are Burnin’ (IND)

This morning was more exciting than the Pacer game last night, jus’ sayin’. There were newbies, (F%@& Yeah!) neon grassroots gear, smiles, high fives, positivity and stair cycles with spice: box jumps, lunges, and just when you thought burpees couldn’t get any worse…burpee broad jumps. You and your legs are now awake. read more

High-Flying Homework by November Project North America

painting shirts

YOU HAVE HOMEWORK! That’s right. You have an assignment that must be done… and it must be done well. #HighFlyingHomework will be executed in every single city by the sixteen November Project tribes. It will be fun and awesome and a little dangerous. To make this idea creatively competitive, High-Flying Homework will involve everyone in each tribe in an welcoming way, but there will be a clear winner in the end… Also, someone may end up jumping from a plane or helicopter for the win. read more

Circuit of Fire (IND)

Whatwasthat? That, was the Circuit of Fire. Ohh…

The tribe showed up today despite another chilly morning. The south barricade was moved up higher, much to our delight. The tribe warmed up and picked a partner they did not already know. Then the Circuit of Fire began:

Stair cycle

Wheelbarrow up steps

25 leg throwdowns read more

Easter Egg Hunt (IND)

Yep.  That was the workout.  An easter egg hunt.  Indy tribe members were TOO excited to wait for Sunday to shove 5 year olds out of the way in search of the golden egg at the neighborhood egg hunt! Mini Workouts were found inside of eggs strategically hidden in potted plants on the north and south sides of the War Memorial.  Grab an egg, do the mini workout, run to the other side.  Tribe members sprinted back and forth in quest for as many eggs as possible in 25min.  Watch out for the multi-colored eggs!  They are a DOOZY! The tribe is strong! Oh… and spring, please come back!  Your 70 degree days were here for a bit and we LOVED you, but yesterday’s snow was not cool!

Boston Strong

Dear Boston,

Last year I decided to take the year off from racing your streets. Instead, I opted to run the Napa Valley marathon for its net downhill course and copious amounts of wine offered at the finish. As of April 14, 2013, I was a retired marathoner. The long distance never quite suited my 800 meter legs and I absolutely despise all GU’s, gooze and Goo’s. But on April 15, “never” became “next year” and “won’t” became “will.” read more

Eat Shredded Wheat, Never.

Today, the tribe exploded. BOOM!

The tribe quickly got acquainted with our new location and all of its features on the east, south, west and north sides of the monument. Stairs, doors, barricades, fuck yeah!

Massive shout out to the IU Dental School, way to show up with your amazing smiles, epic hugs and fast feet. Several ‘fuck yeahs’ were shouted and verbals dropped for next week. Boom. Boom. Boom. That’s right, triple Boom. read more
