To do list for the last day of 2014:

– Hug. A lot. CHECK.
– Do an excessive amount of perfect burpees. CHECK.
– Sing a-capella in a public place. CHECK.
– Drink coffee. Drink more coffee. HALF CHECK.
– Find a slutty New Years outfit. Wait, what?
– Check off to do lists. CHECK.
– Write lots of reminder sticky notes to NOT show up at the stairs Monday.

New Beginnings (SD)

IMG_6828.JPG

Today was all about celebrating new beginnings.
We’ve seen an engagement, a few tribes members weddings, and today we had honeymooners crash our stair party.
We also got to welcome two very special people to their new home tribe in San Diego.
Along with new beginnings comes the end of some eras. Today we said farewell to Mondays at the Convention Center stairs, but have no fear, we’ll see those stairs every Wednesday starting next week. read more

Christmas Eve Traditions (SD)

IMG_6732.JPG

Here at NPSD we celebrated our second holiday season today by revisiting some old NP Christmas traditions, and creating some new ones. Let’s recap:

Current Traditions:
1. Nadim leaves the freezing cold tundra known as Canada to thaw out for the week.
2. Our Christmas outfits are as weird as ever.
3. We make Christmas trees with our arms for the group photo.
4. I attempt to fill Jessie’s shoes in photo taking and blog writing, probably unsuccessfully. read more

This Blog Post is IMPORTANT (SD)

So many things are a-happening in the NP world these days. We have every intention of hyping them all to you at the workouts. And then we get distracted. And realize you don’t remember half of what we say anyway. Which is probably smart. So instead, we are doing this to condense the 3 BIG announcements into one blog post. BOOM. Efficiency. read more

The Positivity Award Speaks: meet Eric. (SD)

If you’ve ever attended a November Project SD workout, you know Eric. In fact, if you’ve ever attended ANY run club in San Diego, you’ve probably met Eric. This guy is everywhere. And while coming in 2nd place at the La Jolla Half Marathon, stamping recruiting papers,  and putting on some of the most fun local runs in Pacific Beach, he always has a smile on his face. Obviously the #positivityaward would make it’s way into Eric’s hands at some point. read more

#ECSCA is coming. And you won’t want to miss it.

THIS. SHIT. IS. GOOD.

By now you all know November Project is real. We have all formed a community unlike any other, and it’s because of you ridiculously positive #freefitness junkies. The love continues to spread and #NPSUMMIT was a stunning showing of everything NP.

If you missed it: we’re sorry. It was fucking awesome. Watch it here if you don’t believe us. read more

On top of the WORLD…takeover (SD)

IMG_5586.JPG
Something occurred to me at some point between 6:27 and 7:28 AM today. On any given Wednesday, at 6:30AM, 99.9% of my favorite people in the entire world are in the same place in their respective cities, hugging, high fiving, ass kicking.
That other 0.1%? Fuck ’em. (Just kidding Mom and Dad! I love you. But when NPPDX starts I expect you guys to be there.)
88 smiling faces showed up today. One Brogan. One Goldie. And all 16 of Brogan’s abs.
We went around the world, felt on top of the world, and planned world takeover.
#3014 is coming and it’s because of you all. Our tribe is full of amazing people (from our positivity award winner Spartan Race World Champion Marc to our two NP couples with back to back weddings). We know more amazing people exist in San Diego. Find them. Bring them. Most importantly, hug them with your head to the right.
Be happy, be strong, be bright SD! read more

Things Got Emo Today (SD)

First off, I know the blog is late. It’s taken me all day to let the events of this morning settle in (and let’s be honest, to stop the tears of joy running down my face). I’m still blown away.

Each and every one of you amaze me, week in and week out. Your commitment, spirit, and sense of community are simply inspiring. read more

Stair Suicides and PIE for Breakfast (SD)

IMG_5190.JPG

Well the blog is up, and is here to answer the 2 questions that I know have been eating away at you all day:

1. Where the F is the blog?
– Watching you all run suicide drills, sprint, and do a million ass up push-ups this morning was exhausting. As is taking all those photos. Come back Jessie. We miss you. I miss you. read more

Back to school, back to school… (SD)

To prove to Dad that I am not a fool. Got my bag packed up and my boots tied tight, hope I don’t get in a fight. Oooooooohhhhh, back to school.

Just like in Billy Madison, when Adam Sandler started school all over again from the beginning, we celebrated September by appearing to have turned into Kindergarteners at recess.

Either way we had a blast and learned a few things today: read more
