Giant Mob Clap

The November Project Summit 4.0 is an event for NP Leadership. Wait no, that’s not right – It is an event for trail racing. Well… no, the #NPSUMMIT is a homecoming gathering for all tribes from around the world. Now we’re getting closer. But the fact is, the weekend in Blue Mountain, Ontario is many things and brings many people, from many miles away. The event doesn’t need to focus on just one piece of the puzzle, because it is the many pieces that make it so powerful and hard to explain. The summit is a party, a DANCE party, the Olympic Games, a trail race, a break from the cities we live in, a chance to meet new members of your family, a chance to be non-stop fun for a few fast days in the mountains. read more

How I spent my Spring Break (or #MyTraverbalJournal) by Ryan Komaiko

Ryan Komaiko is like most of us when it comes to NP, he fucking loves it. He is the definition of a “core member” of the Boston tribe and we couldn’t shake him if we tried. Ryan, your travels are impressive and your story is worth reading a few times.. or once… OK, your story is worth reading at least once… up to one time. Read the dude’s story people, I’m getting away from the point! Without further badu, I give you… (dramatic pause)… Ryan Komaiko. read more

Re-Introducing Chris Heuisler

Below is a letter by our man Chris Heuisler. Please take time to read what Chris Heuisler has written. For those of you heading to the #NPSUMMIT 4.0 next month, you’ll hug Chris Heuisler in person. For everyone else… hang tight, Chris Heuisler is most likely dropping in on your tribe any day now – The dude travels. And the NP Olympics that he’s talking about, you’ll know more soon. Without any further disruption or name dropping, I give you… the one and only… Chris Heuisler! read more

The #NPSUMMIT, for those of you who have never been, is the biggest NP gathering that takes place only once a year. The weekend has an energy that is unmatched and has grown into a homecoming feel that Co-Leaders and members all get to share. What started as a way to get all the of leaders around one table back in 2013 has grown into something bigger and better than we could ever imagine. The November Project Summit will not disappoint. 10 Years Later (2006-2016)

10 years ago, this month, Bojan and I ran our first marathon. We trained mostly on our own because of schedules. In that time of our lives, we were still a month away from walking across the stage at Northeastern graduation at The Garden. We didn’t know anything about how to train or race over 26.2 miles. We were handed our numbers and had only one goal: Survive. From Hopkinton to Downtown Boston, our goal was to survive the marathon, without walking, and see what this distance was all about. On raceday we made our way onto the bus that took us to the racers village. There we met other NU Huskies who we knew from campus. We smiled and laughed and pooped in the porta’s. Like anyone who was getting ready for their first marathon, we were all pretty nervous. read more

THE Book Event (BOSTON) – #NPthebook

WISCONSIN NOTES:
Intro
Info

So… the book launches this week on Tuesday, April 12th, a date we’ve been looking at for months now. The project, lead by Caleb, built by many, and hopefully shared with the world, is on the launch pad. So why not launch this book in Boston? Why not make the launch large, hyped, active, fun, and share it with our friends. We’re happy to say that all of our friends here in Boston, those who are visiting for the race, as well as the kind souls at Runner’s World and The North Face, are all going to make this first book event one that will never be forgotten. Sound epic? It will be. Below are the basics, but please understand, an RSVP is vital to hold a place at this FREE event. Click here to go directly to the RSVP and/or read below for the details. Can’t wait to see you there. read more

30 Cities and 30 Quotes Away From The Launch of November Project The Book

As we roll into the launch of November Project The Book on April 12th, we’re celebrating the many voices that helped build this tribe by sharing out 30 quotes by NP members from around the world. You’ll notice they’re each accompanied by a video of various Co-Leaders doing their best impression/interpretation/awkward-channeling of the quoted tribe member. Some of the quotes are fun, some are funny, while others are a little deeper and make the reader slow down just a bit. No matter the vibe, we hope you enjoy these slices of life and that you can help spread the word about #NPthebook and all the voices it represents. Enjoy.

Leap Year by Ashleigh Voytrack (San Diego)

Four score and four years ago was the last time we celebrated a Leap year. Unless you were Angelo, who thinks this happens every 7 years. Leap year, also known as a bissextile year (which I perfer because the word “sex” is in it) is a year containing one additional day to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical and seasonal year. read more
