The Great CoLeader Migration

The title says it all guys.  Co-leaders continent-wide are flocking to the sweaty, sunny workouts of November Project San Diego.  DC is great, sure.  Milwaukee, okay.  LA, yeah, they’re alright.  But NPSD has something special.  This tribe is just so damn attractive, so strong, so enticing, people are hopping on airplanes just to see what all the hype is about.  CoLeaders are slowly working their way to the best, brightest tribe in North America, 1 by 1, or in the case of this morning, 3×3. read more

Pumpkin Spiced NP

Pumpkin Latte, pumpkin caramels, pumpkin pie, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin soup, pumpkin bagels, pumpkin pop tarts, pumpkin biscotti, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin EVERYTHING.  Trader Joe’s may have the ultimate selection of pumpkin infused products, but last time I checked, they have no pumpkin squat throws, no back-to-back pumpkin passes, no pumpkin hill repeats, no PUMPKIN WORKOUT. read more

Little kids have the right idea!

What’s better than the smell of a cinnamon roll first thing in the morning?  How about a long linked line of NPSD’ers slowly rolled into a tight, circled, cinnamon roll-like group hug?  Yeah, that might be better.  First we were a cinnamon roll, then we earned our cinnamon roll.  As we hoisteed, burpeed, dipped, push uped, ran, rock-paper-scissored, and rode the slides like little kids, we all pushed one another and strengthened the vibe of our community. read more

#SoCalRollCall

What a morning NPSD, what a morning!  Let’s start with the simple breakdown:

-We showed up, like happy little kids on the first day of school

-We double-dutched in impressive fashion (who even needs jump ropes!)

-We woke Balboa Park and the sun with our booming chorus

-We circled a fountain and threw the fuck down read more

Pushing girls on the playground

Since childhood we’ve used pushing to express our true feelings.  In Kindergarten, on the playground, we pushed that cute girl we liked.  We pushed out of love.  We pushed because we wanted to be connected, we just didn’t know how to go about establishing that connection like “adults”.  “Sweetheart, he only pushed you because he’s shy and nervous, and he likes you.” read more

Stay Classy, San Diego

Here at November Project SD, we’re all about culture, fine art, symphony, and high society.  So this morning, of course we graced the stage of the uber-classy Spreckels Organ Pavilion with our sweat, sneakers, and bellowing “fuck yeahs”.  That’s classy, right..?…

You may not have known this, but Spreckels and November Project actually have quite a bit in common: read more

WE are the MOVEMENT

A movement starts with a simple idea.  What sparks the movement’s growth are the people involved.  You have you’re leader, and if that leader pursues the movement correctly, the leadership will spread and rub off on the members involved.  Member #1 (the leader) will bring member #2, 3, 4, 35, 59, 98, 140… and these members will shift the movement from a simple idea to a living, thriving organism. read more

Son of a Beaches!

Sons of Beaches!

Oh man, those hills this morning were a son of beach. Between the squat jacks, scissor jumps, sprints, and hill repeats, my quads are beat down!  Luckily, we live in San Diego, and I can stroll down to the beach to kick back, relax, and let my legs recover.  If only we were able to just work out AT the beach, so I could head directly to my beach towel and mimosa immediately after my final burpee… 20150803_063418 “Well, wait a minute, Angelo.  Isn’t the theme for August’s #MayhemMondays BEACHES???” You’re damn right it is!  This month we storm the beaches of San Diego, hugs, sweat, high-fives and all.  They say living near the ocean is good for your health.  Well we’re going to take it one step further and work toward that better, healthier, more fit life, directly ON the beach. 20150803_063443 And to make things interesting, let’s grow this party even BIGGER.  The more the merrier, right!?  So, each week we’ll have a little recruiting challenge for you all.  That means making personal connections.  Some real human interaction!  This week: COWORKERS.  Bring that coworker that’s been saying she’s going to go but always seems to have an excuse.  No more excuses!  We’re going to the beach.  Who doesn’t love the beach!? NPSD, each one of you has helped to build this tribe, grow this community, and spread that dose of positivity San Diego is always hungry for.  Everyone deserves a piece of the pie, and at November Project, we’re offering up big ‘ol slices for FREE! 20150803_064646 Read this stuff: Wednesday: Balboa Park, 6:29AM. BE THERE! Next Monday: La Jolla Cove We’re kicking of August’s #MayhemMondays: BEACH Edition.  Come wake up the sun and spread your toes out in the sand. #SoCalRollCall COWORKERS: Bring your coworkers to the workout.  What better first time than at one of the most sought after beaches in San Diego. #freefitness #justshowup Donation Jar:  flat black spray paint if you so desire #grassrootsgear 20150803_064001

Let us Reflect

Let us reflect.

On the story we have told thus far.

On the countless hugs we have given (and properly; none of this butt out, side hug, pat on the back nonsense!).

On the buckets of sweat we’ve poured.

The miles we’ve ran.

The sunrises we’ve beaten.

The hands we’ve left stinging from enthusiastic high-fives. read more
