I feel like I’ve entered Joey-Mac’s mind with all the “pulled our decks out” innuendos I’m tempted to drop in this blog post, but since I’m going to be a fully-sworn in professional in three weeks, I’ll just say that we pulled out our shiny new, clean decks and let all the whole tribe flip them around while getting a nice sweat on for about half an hour. There. It’s out of my system.
Ain’t Nobody Gon’ Catch Me (IND)
We were all Race Day kings and queens today. Both sessions absolutely killed it on those stairs and with those burpees (especially the Race Day virgin who did 50 burpees instead of 25)!
There must have been something in the air, because PRs were being set left and right, and everyone was crushing the supportive role. Awesome teamwork (tribework?). We had another week of very solid turnout, and we were even graced with some long lost, highly missed familiar faces. Great seeing you guys!
Chicago Pride Week (CHI)
This is a big week for LGBT support in Chicago and we plan to rock it out November Project style!
Both Wednesday 6/22 and 6/24 will feature special Pride tagging colors. Tagging starts at 6:10 am on Wednesday and at 5:45 am on Friday
Please arrive EARLY! (Looking at you Greenberg)
Also on Wednesday 6/22 will be our annual yearbook photos!!! Our theme this year is going to be “At the Beach” so interpret that as many ways as you wish. Same thing applies. Please show up early!
Welcome, Tribe.
Greetings from the Pacific Northwest! What you’ve heard about us is correct. Our coffee game is second to none; if you think I’m talking about Starbucks, Seattle’s Best or Tully’s, you’re sorely misinformed. We’re still a little grungy; it’s not all flannels and guitar riffs anymore, but we’re still known to let our dirty hair down every once in a while. The mountains and nature in the area will leave you in awe. Nestled between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, we’ve grown fond of our [ridiculous] views. And yes, it rains here. A lot. And that’s how we like it.
The Triumphant Retun of J-Baby (LAX)
It’s really quite easy to lose sight of the world you used to know when a brand new, freshly constructed and painted world opens up before your very eyes. No, I’m not talking about a new car (though I’m still waiting on that Ferrari that’s going to just fall into my lap one day… I know it is) but I am talking about the glory that is our beloved Hollywood Bowl. We’ve been SO stoked to get back on those stairs, that we just about forgot the world outside of our magical steps of happiness.
April but not fooled (CHI)
This picture really sums up how amazing our start to the day was.
We talk about health and fitness. A lot. However, another extremely important part of what we do is creating a strong supportive community that allows all people who participate with us to feel safe and comfortable. The willingness to change, and just as important, the hard work that accompanies that change puts many people in a vulnerable position. One where they question themselves about how they look, how the next person is thinking about them and their effort, should I give up, should I keep going.
The Tribe Is Awesome! (SMF)
Today was a special workout. We came together – all Tribes of November Project – and supported a friend from the November Project SD Tribe . Gray was worn today for brain cancer awareness, in honor of a tribe member’s mother. It is a pretty amazing feeling to come together as a community to show our support for our fellow tribes…we’ve haven’t met everyone, but we love you all & support the shit out of you all!
