The Valley of the Sun kicked off May Day in style as NP_Phx_FamilyFeud has officially begun! This morning saw Team Blue, Team Red, Team Yellow, and Team Green duke it out in an AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) circuit workout consisting of squats, leg lifts, box jumps, burpees, push-ups and stairs. The desert sun was intense but nothing compared to the focus on the competitors.
It was a hard fought battle, with energy and passion already on display in Week 1. Team Yellow put in a solid effort with 21 rounds total, Team Green edged them out with 24, and Team Red and Team Blue were neck and neck with a tie for first completing 26 rounds each.
Been to NP before but didn’t make it out this week? No problem, we’ll see you next Wednesday and you will join a team per Co-Leader discretion. If you bring a new person to NP, they are automatically on your team, so get out there and bring in some fresh faces!
What lies ahead? Each week will bring a new theme; think stairs, hills, 6k, field day, etc., but we will announce just enough details as necessary to keep everyone guessing! Wearing your team color is encouraged!
What’s on the line besides bragging rights? The winning team is eligible to win Aravaipa Race Credits, Jaybird Tarah wireless headphones, and other prizes. Further, members of the winning team will have their first drink of choice on Scott & Jackie at our end of month social. Your NP family and team loves you, and is counting on you, be there.
