NPSF heads to Oakland – so is the grass greener on the other side?

What happens when you put a Northeastern man, an Englishman, a Texan, an Irishman and a Kiwi lady into a Mazda 3 stuck in traffic on the Bay Bridge… 30 minutes of awful bastardised cliches describing today’s workout:

“First things first, let’s not put the cart before the horse or throw the baby out with the bathwater, but we can safely say we crushed the Oakland steps this morning. When the O-crew requested an East Bay workout, we reckoned we’d cross that bridge when we came to it, and hoped we wouldn’t give those East Bayers a centimetre and they’d take a kilometre. But instead, they gave us a knarley set of steps and hills at Cleveland Cascade. read more

NPSF: Verbals dropped, verbals upheld

Sooooooo shit went down yesterday. Rumour had it that there was a storm or flood of sorts on the way. Being the forward thinkers we are, NPSF built an ark and used it to sail to Bitters Bock & Rye and consume gallons of beer! Then, once people found themselves in the inebriated state that gallons of beer eventually lead to… verbals started to be dropped! Dropping like it’s hot! Two of our Boston visitors verballed for a Grand Slam… Monday-Wednesday-Friday attendances… talking a pretty big game here!! read more

NPSF: Hear No Evil, See No Evil

After our rudely interrupted date last week, O’Clayton had to think long and hard about our next move. About 5 minutes thinking later, we got bored!!! So Paddy searched Netflix for a movie to watch, whilst Dan went on a LinkedIn Endorsement binge. We started into Anchorman, and discovered that Ron Burgundy had some worthy advice: read more

NPSF: Stivers challenges the tribe!!

Yesterday, Chris Stivers set a little challenge for the members of November Project San Francisco, a #icebucketchallenge to be precise. Well Chris, NPSF graciously accept your challenge and as a tribe, we responded by going under the bucket this morning! I see a lot of people in this video, so Chris you better get yourself donating! read more

Tears as NPSF sneaks out on this week’s date with Alta Plaza

Hmm, I wonder how am I going to bail out of this Tinder date? Wonder could I fit out the bathroom window? After all those mountain climbers on Monday, I should be able to scale the wall, right? My brother’s going into labor? I left the clothes in the microwave? Wait, did Zip just swipe left on me? That’s the declining direction, right? No left? Which way is left (Marisa Levine)? Shit noooo, did I just swipe the cute one away? Damn, I’m meant to be thinking of excuses to bail! Right, that Sunish guy just tapped me on the bum? Was that weird? Maybe not, these NP people are pretty forward? I kind of like that! But I need to get to work? I need an excuse! My grandma’s on fire (Greg)? Right I’ve got it! read more

NPSF: We ♥ U ‘Coz Ur RAD!!!!

This morning, 100 NSPFers took on the Alta Plaza steps to challenge their PR… and we were dropping records like crazy… like we’re talking Usain Bolt, “fuelled by 1000 chicken nuggets”, fastest man alive PR’ing!!!

However as a tribe, NPSF set our own little tribe PR today as we finally managed to present the positivity award to one of our most critical members, RAD aka Rebecca Ann Daniels aka Boo. Rebecca being the modest lady that she is, somehow managed to be out of town on the previous two Wednesdays we attempted to present the award. We think she was off solving world peace, or freeing Gotham City of crime, or maybe both. The best person to sum up Boo’s contribution to the tribe is our voyaging founder and coleader, Laura: read more

NPSF: There’s No I in Team, but There is an NP

The mood in NPSF was pretty damn good after this weekend’s exertions. In yesterday’s marathon, NPers were dropping PR’s like it’s the last Wednesday of the month. Hutch’s motley cheer squad crew may well have high fived and danced with every runner in the field of 5500, and also formed a finisher’s tunnel for most of them. read more

NPSF: Karl follows Laura & Connor to Europe, tribe rejoice!!!

NPSFers were devastated when Laura, our founder, leader and all-around favourite person in life, traversed the Atlantic in search of our missing Tribesman, Gil Levy. The tribe went through a severe mourning process, and started behaving pretty odd… #bikegang started taking Muni to work, Jorge cut down to 5 cookies a day, we hadn’t seen or heard from Pete Kruse in weeks. Something had to be done!!! read more

NPSF: FOMO is rife in the San Francisco Tribe. O’Clayton discovers cure

In typical NPSF adventuring fashion, 30 of our tribe members set out on an epic 73 mile relay around scenic Lake Tahoe this weekend #bikegang #nobigdeal #trendsetters. In honour of this event and to relieve the severe dose of FOMO that has stricken all the non-attendees, O’Clayton held the first inaugural Fort Mason Festival Pavillon NPSF November Project relay team workout race (maybe we could refine the race name a little bit). read more
