This morning, 100 NSPFers took on the Alta Plaza steps to challenge their PR… and we were dropping records like crazy… like we’re talking Usain Bolt, “fuelled by 1000 chicken nuggets”, fastest man alive PR’ing!!!
However as a tribe, NPSF set our own little tribe PR today as we finally managed to present the positivity award to one of our most critical members, RAD aka Rebecca Ann Daniels aka Boo. Rebecca being the modest lady that she is, somehow managed to be out of town on the previous two Wednesdays we attempted to present the award. We think she was off solving world peace, or freeing Gotham City of crime, or maybe both. The best person to sum up Boo’s contribution to the tribe is our voyaging founder and coleader, Laura:
“I remember the first time Rebecca came to a workout, as she stayed after to introduce herself. That smile of hers radiates enthusiasm, positivity and warmth. But beyond her pearly whites is a person of consistency who November Project is built upon. We need Rebecca Daniels far more than she needs us. Yes, yes, she takes amazing photos and uses most of her 40 hour work week trying to recruit professional baseball players to NP workouts, but it’s the smaller details that make RAD rad. She will never not include you. She will always cheer you on, whether you’re passing her or she’s passing you. She will belt out any Beyonce tune you like, at any hour of the day, and actually sound great doing it. Ya’ll better recognize, the girl is gold. And it’s about time she showed up on the day she was supposed to get this damn award (what is this the third attempt?) 😉 ”

This Friday, we take on the monstrosity of a hill that is 17th street in the Castro.
FRIDAY HILLS…. MEET AT 17th AND DOUGLASS… 6.23am… PLEASE WEAR BLACK OR WHITE.
We’ve got something special planned in prep for Saturday’s Capture the Flag. Speaking of which…
This Saturday, we have our NPSF Capture the Flag event in Golden Gate Park (August 2nd). Meet anytime from 1-2pm at Hellman Hollow picnic area. Please check out our Facebook event and invite your friends. Let’s make this HUUUUGGGGEEEE!!!! This game is going to be brilliant (i.e. awesome in Irish terms). But, we need your help. We need you to bring your uniforms. If your birthday is on an ODD month (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov) bring a red colored shirt (and shorts, if you have them). If it’s on an even month (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, Dec) bring a blue shirt and shorts.
And for the second game, if you are from New England bring a white shirt and shorts. If you are from anywhere else, dress in all black. Also, bring WATER!!
From there we’ll progress to a BBQ + picnic + potluck. This is a BYOF (bring your own feast) event. We’ll have some charcoal but we need everyone to bring food, drinks, blankets, lawn games, more charcoal, et cetera. Please bring food to share and games to play!
