Tomorrow’s our big screening of the Dooster made film “Showing Up” powered by The North Face. The film highlights eight November Project tribe members from around the world and how November Project has impacted their lives. As we learn about these amazing individuals, most of whom we have never even met, we also want to highlight some of the beautiful people we see each week at NP Indy.
The Results Are In . . . (IND)
The results are in . . . fun was had by all at NP here in Indy this morning (and at a hell of a good price I might add)!
We had plenty of groggy faces still recovering from contentious races, but we made due with heightened energy, hugs upon hugs, and of course free as can be fitness! Despite the economy, despite the rhetoric, despite the political mortal combat, NP always stands firm based on a solid, unshakable platform of free fitness and a sense of community for the masses! I think that’s a platform nearly everyone can stand on.
Werewolves of Runnin’ (IND)

Aaaaaoooooooohhh!!! The Tribe* really brought it today! We got warm by huddling up with a little Warren Zevon inspired Halloween-ish bounce, then hit the steps for some stellar Race Day performances!
We had one of our fastest Tribe members absolutely bring it today by setting his Race Day PR, had some newer but consistent Tribe members really push the envelope (and by envelope I mean co-leader) during the workout, and we had a couple newbies get a taste for what we’re all about! Plus, the Halloween costumes were a graveyard smash!
Spin-der-bottle-name-gamen-toberfest (IND)
In olde Deutsche tradition, not unlike the olde Deutsche tradition of making new words by shoving old words together, we played the well-known Oktoberfest Get to Know Your Fellow Tribespeople Through Spin the Bottle Name Game-n. It was a real “smash”, thanks in part to Alex and his Hulk alleyway dice throwing technique for bottle spinning. Since it’s now well known by all 6:15-ers that I only pretend to know names, I’ll admit that I’m name-dropping left and right in this blog to lock some into my memory bank, Alex, Stephanie, Julia, Garrett, Al, Sean, Nneka, Jennifer, Joel, Patrick, TORI!
Race Day the Horsing Around Way (IND)
We laughed a few laughs, cried a few cries (or was it just raining? . . . or did we just have a bad day as young superstar wide receivers who get beat up by kicker practice nets? https://twitter.com/AlbertBreer/status/780132865556242432/photo/1 ), jockeyed a few invisible horses, and burpee’d a few burpees. It was another solid Race Day.
Decks Out for Harambe (IND)
I feel like I’ve entered Joey-Mac’s mind with all the “pulled our decks out” innuendos I’m tempted to drop in this blog post, but since I’m going to be a fully-sworn in professional in three weeks, I’ll just say that we pulled out our shiny new, clean decks and let all the whole tribe flip them around while getting a nice sweat on for about half an hour. There. It’s out of my system.
Ain’t Nobody Gon’ Catch Me (IND)
We were all Race Day kings and queens today. Both sessions absolutely killed it on those stairs and with those burpees (especially the Race Day virgin who did 50 burpees instead of 25)!
There must have been something in the air, because PRs were being set left and right, and everyone was crushing the supportive role. Awesome teamwork (tribework?). We had another week of very solid turnout, and we were even graced with some long lost, highly missed familiar faces. Great seeing you guys!
Soggy Mustache Dash (IND)
Well, the “soggy” part of this blog title was supposed to pertain to all the rain we’ve had lately, but the showers dodged us during the workouts. Still, soggy most definitely applied.
After challenging our San Fran Sister to a good ol’ fashioned “plank-off”, our Indy tribe left enough sweat puddles to drown an _____??? [I don’t know; I’m sure there’s a rain/puddles related saying out there that fits the bill, but the best I could find is this Charlie Chaplin quote: “I always like walking in the rain, so no one can see me crying.” Have a very uplifting day!]
Love On Top (IND)
Rundown:
Kylie Minogue must have been talking about Beyonce’s “Love on Top” (don’t worry about the timeline there) because like she says, I just can’t get you outta my head, Love on Top. That was one upbeat beatdown; who knew it was possible to hit those octaves???!!!
Very, very solid workout this morning to say the least. Very, very solid 5:28 showing as well. That group easily took the cake this morning, which I can confidently say even without the Colleen Count (though my Wednesday still won’t feel complete without it).
This One’s For You, City Beautiful (IND)
It’s wonderful to live in a country that has grown to tolerate and accept and even embrace and celebrate varying beliefs, perspectives, and lifestyles. When someone threatens our position backing individual liberties, we respond with sentiments of strength through unity. Somewhat ironically, we set aside differences to honor differences. Attacks on these views may be audacious, but when we’re assailed, we as a nation stand strong, tenacious, courageous. NP_Indy (and Indy weather ^) made that position clear this morning with a bounce lending a shout-out to Orlando; stay strong, City Beautiful.
