United State of Women – NPCHI Edition

“Not much of an introduction is needed here. Emily has been a core member in Chicago since the beginning and has even recruited people from a hot tub (BALLER). She also does Triathlons and did one using Chicago’s bike share which is a  tank of a bike. Needless to say, she’s awesome. So listen up, pump it up and get ready for some NP fun.” NP_CHI Leaders – OUT!!

Hey all! I’m Emily Rowlands, member of November Project Chicago.  Recently First Lady Michelle Obama announced the first ever United State of Women summit. This is an opportunity to bring together influential women to celebrate the progress made by and for women, and to discuss solutions to the challenges we still face.  Soon after, the DC female NP co-leader announced that she would be hosting the first ever all-women November Project workout to coincide with the summit.

I think this is a brilliant idea. I can’t think of any group where the women are more representative of what this summit is striving to bring together.  NP women are strong, independent, bad-ass, courageous, compassionate, supportive…the list could go on of all the amazing qualities I see every week in the ladies I’m working out next to. Fuck to the yeah.

The United State of Women Profile Pledge

So I’m proposing we join forces with the DC, Philly, LA, NYC, and any other tribes that are hosting these all-women workouts.  Let’s get FLOTUS to take notice!  Let’s help create our own NP version of the United State of Women summit in the best way we know how.  Let’s bounce. Let’s sweat. Let’s hug. Let’s show just how strong and awesome the women of NP are.
