My name is CARLI

Hello Everyone!

My name is Carli, nice to meet you all! I am the quiet one in the pink sweater.

I have been apart of the tribe since October 2018 and have been there almost every week since I started going. I have been following NP on Instagram for a few years now and have wanted to join in but was afraid to go alone. When I saw my good friend Jordan was going I knew it was time to join the tribe!

I want to share a little about my journey before I start talking about how amazing Np has been in my life.

Growing up I was an overweight kid, I hated running in gym class, I had trouble finding clothes in my size and I was constantly teased. I remember being as young as 7 and being extremely unhappy with my body. It’s sad now to think that I have spent so much time and energy always wanting to change myself.

When I was 23 and newly married my husband and I decided It was time we change our lifestyle. We decided to eat healthier and exercise. A year later we had lost a combined weight of 150lbs and I was running my first half marathon.  I could hardly walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded before. That was 9 years ago and a lot has changed, we are now parents to a 3 year old little girl and I am still on this amazing yet challenging journey of health and wellness. I struggle with my weight daily and every morning I wake up and make the decision to work out even when I don’t want to. Making healthy eating choices is my biggest struggle. I mean it’s not perfect but I am always making progress.

I have always wanted to be apart of a group of like minded people who share in my love of health and wellness.

I watched NP posts on Instagram for a long time and so wanted to be apart of this awesome tribe. I am so grateful I took a chance and came out that first morning. And even survived my second week when we were running up Knox in the rain in Halloween costumes. I was so hooked and it helped keep me motivated to work out outside in the winter. The people of NP have made every chilly work out worth it. Some mornings it was hard to leave my warm bed but I was excited to see familiar faces and get all the hugs and high fives. My journey has not been easy, but one key thing that has helped me has been to surround myself with people who motivate me to overcome challenges I never thought I could do. NP, you are full of those people who make me want to push harder and get stronger. Thank you to all of you for being so accepting and welcoming.

I love being part of this amazing tribe.
