Over the last six and a half years, the co-founders of November Project, Bojan & Brogan, have been expanding the movement while it continues to grow organically through passionate and dedicated volunteer leadership, weatherproof workouts, and supportive communities, all at the cost of zero dollars. But with expansion comes evolution and November Project is proud to announce the next chapter of the movement, as a nonprofit organization. This year, with the support of everyone in our community, the structure of November Project (NP) will be one that involves more than simply two co-founders.
April Recruiting Challenge – PDX
We’ve all heard it a thousand times… “It’s too dark, too cold, too rainy”…or “I’ll come when the weather is better.” Well guess what, tribe. It’s April. Spring is here, and with that comes that better weather so many possible recruits have been waiting for. It’s time to cash in on those better weather verbals. It’s time to grow our tribe. If there’s one thing we can be certain of about November Project, it’s that the workouts are better with more people. More people means more energy. More connection. More new friends!
12 Days of Fitmas
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. And Portland has been kind enough to stay dry through December giving us picturesque Wednesday mornings. Perfect for running around with friends, doing absurd amounts of burpees and watching the sunrise! Feeling pretty festive some of us started pulling out the ole ugly sweaters to keep us toasty at the wee hours of the morn.
PR(esence) Day in PDX
Today we started off by welcoming a new face! Welcome to the tribe Rae-Leigh! With clear skies and relatively warm air, there was a buzz of good energy from the very start.
Then we bounced. THAT BOUNCE!
While we were shouting and causing a scene under the Hawthorne, we discussed maintaining presence of mind and carrying it through the workout. These days, it’s easy to let ourselves slip into an endless feeling of worry. The 24-hour news cycle, the politics, the ceaseless tweets, the rush of the holidays – It’s easy to get wrapped up. But these workouts are for letting all that go for 45 minutes and focusing on ourselves and each other.
Finding clarity in a hazy Portland
This mornings workout was so not November Project. Yoga? INSIDE?! Weird.
But somehow – at the same time – it was one of the most November Project mornings I’ve ever seen. Because despite the unsafe conditions outside, our community came together to make a workout happen… perhaps when we needed it the most.
It never gets hot in Portland
Jk, it clearly does and the tribe didn’t give a f*ck, they still showed up in numbers… unlike the recruiting event…. long awkward pause…

Whatever, we forgive you. We hung over 100 fliers all over the city & we expect people to start coming in hot (literally) for the remainder of the summer.
PR day – take two.
The tribe loves the new PR Wednesday!
The sun was shining, our eyes were burning from sweat and sweet victory this morning. The sweet victory of PR Wednesday that is! Our newest (and hopefully permanent) Wednesday location has served us well. Yelling out to strangers as they run or bike by to join our #freefitness has become a common sound on the waterfront at 6:29AM.
Stars, Stripes and Burpees (PDX)

It’s never easy to get out of bed on Wednesday morning. The list of potential excuses is long and only gets longer after you hit snooze the first time. Just because we’re leaders doesn’t mean that list doesn’t run through our heads every Wednesday too. But every week, we show up – because we know YOU’LL be there. Sometimes I show up in a great mood, sometimes I show up in a grumpy mood – but, no matter what, because of YOU, I leave feeling pumped for the day.
FRIDAY PARKING & Transportation Info for Summit 5.0

Q: WHERE DO I PARK? A: OPEN this Google Map
HOW DO I GET TO THE STADIUM? HOW DO I GET AROUND?
If you find yourself asking these questions, let’s thank our local transportation guru Ari Ofsevit for compiling the following info. Read as much or as little as you want (it gets really fucking detailed down at the bottom, and in the middle, and pretty much everywhere) but definitely read the part about parking for the Friday morning workout at Harvard. And give yourself LOTS of extra time to get to the stadium.
Every. Single. Wednesday.
Brace yourselves. This is our first official blog post and I (Shelby) am writing it, so you know it’s going to get a little off track. I’m going get a little selfish with this first one but it’s only because a lot of stuff hit me at the same time this morning, and I’m vibing in the best way. They won’t all be this sappy.
