Exciting New Direction

Over the last six and a half years, the co-founders of November Project, Bojan & Brogan, have been expanding the movement while it continues to grow organically through passionate and dedicated volunteer leadership, weatherproof workouts, and supportive communities, all at the cost of zero dollars. But with expansion comes evolution and November Project is proud to announce the next chapter of the movement, as a nonprofit organization. This year, with the support of everyone in our community, the structure of November Project (NP) will be one that involves more than simply two co-founders. read more

Dozens of delights! (ORL)

“Twelve is a sublime number, a number that has a perfect number of divisors, and the sum of its divisors is also a perfect number.”

This morning, we referred back to that sublime number over and over as we busted through a dozen (semi)perfect partner pushups while daydreaming of feeding each other donuts🍩 We continued on to raise our spirits, and lower our booty’s with squatpliments☺️ We then ran towards the sunrise with our partner to deliver (2) dozen red-rose Russian twists🌹. Our final exercise came with a little close contact- we balanced our dirty hands on our partners sweaty knees for a dirty dozen dips! read more

reverse your thinking (ORL)

we may groan at the thought of doing something unpleasant or unfamiliar. or we can approach and embrace the opportunity to improve ourselves, our city, and the people around us. this morning’s workout at baldwin park brought out the best in everyone who was willing to try something new. and who doesn’t like surprises? read more

Dos de Mayo (ORL)

¡Hola!
The beautiful weather in Orlando this morning brought out dozens of smiling faces to brush up on their Spanish vocabulary, in anticipation of celebrating Cinco de Mayo! The tribe found a new friend to start the workout fiesta, and together the new amigos drew one notecard from a sombrero. On each card was a fitness or fun vocabulary term in Spanish and English. They then each performed 12 reps of a predetermined exercise for each letter in that word(Mayo=12 box jumps, 12 push-ups, 12 banana mans, fountain lap). When completed, find a new partner and pick a new word. 40ish minutes of Spanish 101, and the tribe was going to be ready for a siesta, but not before #Angelface schooled everyone with a serious burnout. read more

Penguin, Penguin, what’s your wish-y? (ORL)

Did someone say burpees?? Great-we’ll get to those later. But first, let’s get to to the workout.
The tribe nearly flipped their flippers when they heard that my inaugural workout coincided with
World Penguin Day, and we’d celebrate with an appropriately themed workout!!

waddle waddle!

We got things
going with penguin crunches, penguin squats, a little waddling, and the group dove right into
giving our flippers a nice squeeze! There were lots of hi-flipping-fives as we raced back to the
stairs to build up our calves. We continued with that exhilarating circuit until Travis called the
whole waddle in for his planned burnout. Now, back to those burpees….we all suspected a few
of them to be included in his final burnout, but I don’t know if anyone expected Sebastian with a
twist! read more

Zombies at Dawn (ORL) by #Angelface

what a welcome! the zombies came out for a day at the races this morning, where the eager tribe feasted on frog jumps, inchworms, lunges and burpee heats as we greeted the sunrise over lake baldwin. we hungrily ushered a few #traverbalers (and some old friends) up to the starting line, then caused a little pileup as the horde made its way across the roundabout throughout several laps. read more

Love Goggles (ORL)

Everybody gets a Valentine this Feb 14th at NP Orlando. What better way to express your love for someone? Do burpees together, OF COURSE!!!

Wisconsin Notes:

The Tribe arrived to a romantic candlelit setting with love notes scattered around a picnic blanket (to some, it looked like beginnings for a séance).
Each person had to give another person one of these homemade cards to spread the love… and together do the exercises written in their Valentine card. read more

Bist du gut? (ORL)

During her 2nd week of living in the US, Neele showed up. She came alone. She came with a smile. And she never stopped showing up.

We learned that Neele was to move back to her home country this past month (Nov 2017)… but first, take this oar handle back with you. Our Positivity Award winner, Neele (pronounced NEE-luh) shares how she defines November Project and what her journey was like living overseas. read more

Doggone Good (ORL)

Woof… Woof. Woof. WOOFWOOF!

Shoutout to #DogsOfNP at this morning’s canine themed workout in Orlando.

WISCONSIN NOTES*

  1. We coleaders of NP_ORL thought that today was one of our Tribe member’s dog’s birthday (Ernie the French Bulldog‘s bday is actually Dec 20th), so we planned a celebratory treat:
  2. Puppy-inspired exercises were: fire hydrant leg lifting, digging and squatting, rolling on the ground and, the classic, downward facing dog.
  3. Checkout ANNOUNCEMENTS at the bottom of this article.

Though we didn’t greet each other in the traditional dog way of sniffing each other’s butts, we got to warmly welcome 3 new faces (Sebastian, Sophia, Anderson) and 2 #traverbals (Mike of NPSD, Angel of NPLAX). It was a chilly 55-degrees F for us, but we powered through it. read more

It’s Alive! Pre-Halloween prep (ORL)

Spiders and zombies and chainsaws, OH MY!!!

The workout this morning, if you dared, began in ominously dark winds. After our 2.5 mile jog around the wild & inky lake, we bounced our cold bodies into good-morning hugs and welcomed 5 new faces and a NP_LAX #traverbal.
