PRetty great way to start our day [MTL]

Wisconsin notes: (This is a longer post with lots of info. Bare with us.)

  • The name of this blog post is a pun, duh.
  • PR day hills burn, but you people are amazing and crushed them for 30-whole-effing-minutes.
  • Benedicte is a smiley bomb, a lawyering wizard, and a true gem of positivity. Oh and we adore her.
  • Trails in Motion film fest. Link here.
  • Montreal marathon cheer station September 24th. If you’re not running, you’re cheering! Come scream your heart out all while rocking your NP grassroots gear!

Happy Wednesday all!

Congratulations on another amazing morning of running, giggling, and ingesting spray paint fumes. This morning you showed us power and persistence during the ruthless PR ascent of Place Jacques Cartier, all the while showing support and love for your fellow sweaty companions. read more

Montréal’s “joie de vivre” [MTL]

What do we get when we cross (1) Kriss Kross song “Jump” X (2) Fat Seagulls X (3) Beautiful and sweaty French and English speaking human beings? A November Project MTL workout is what you get. And quite a workout it was. The objective every week is to make sure it was worth getting out of bed for every single one of us and to just show up at the 6:29 am program. I think we hit it again this morning. read more

Born this way [MTL]

Wisconsin notes:

  • Happy Pride 2017! #fiertemontreal #montrealpride
  • NP Social at Benelux on Sunday at 8pm
  • Hills guys, hills.

This morning was filled with power, love, booty, and rainbow shirts. Speaking of, let’s talk about rainbow shirts.

This morning we tagged with the colours of the rainbow in support of Montréal Pride, as well as in order to show that we are allies. Yet, your cool new shirt is not enough. In fact, don’t even think about wearing it unless you are committed to the following: read more

Ollie Ollie Octopus [MTL]

WISCONSIN NOTES:

  • Ollie Ollie Octopus = fun times.
  • Nadine was late once again this week. We’ll have to start handing out penalties (ie burpees) to her soon 🙂
  • NP MTL Social event is now planned for the 20th of August, so mark your calendars!!
  • Shout out to NP PHILLY. Thanks for swinging by Adam. Come back soon 🙂

Ollie Ollie Octopus (or the British Bulldog like some might call it) was the setting for this week’s NP Montréal workout. Since I was ‘it’ and had the generous task to tag out fellow tribe members, it is only normal I took duty to write this week’s blog post. We really had a lot of fun this morning. It felt like we were back in grade school gym class trying to tag our friends in the schoolyard. However, 15 pushups were the major punishment. Everyone had his or her own technique to try and dodge the tag but we ultimately found a way to catch you all. Boom! You better bring spikes next time Sulay!!! read more

Guess who’s back back back… [MTL]

WISCONSIN NOTES:

  • Mila missed you all, duh.
  • Marie-Hélène and Sulay are back-to-back wall sit bosses.
  • Nadine is always late and therefore misses special announcements like PG-13 days where we censor swearing.
  • NP social August 17th.
  • NP recruitment run August 20th.

HI FRIENDS! I missed you! SO MUCH. Like, so so so much. Infinity amount, even.

I missed your hugs, I missed your smiles, and I missed swearing in French. Another big thing that I missed was the opportunity to watch so many of you lead the tribe in your own quirky and creative ways. You guys are amazing and Derek raved about you all every single week. read more

PR day: a lesson in history [MTL]

Wisconsin Note:
– Pretty simple: Montréal kicked ass this week/PR didn’t have a chance.

PR day wouldn’t be PR day without a lesson in history. We shared history facts on Jacques Cartier and the French Colony here in Canada before. Now let us talk about Nelson’s Column (French: Colonne Nelson), the monument that overlooks our weekly playground – Place Jacques-Cartier – here in Montréal was erected in 1809. The monument is dedicated to the memory of Admiral Horatio Nelson. It is the city’s oldest monument and is the oldest war monument in Canada. The Admiral was noted for his inspirational leadership, superb grasp of strategy, and unconventional tactics, which together resulted in a number of decisive victories, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. Hence our Seven-Nation Army Bounce! read more

Oath of non-conformity [MTL]

Oath of non-conformity – Montréal July 19th, 2017

I promise to be unique
I promise not to eat prepared foods that have more than 6 ingredients
I promise to make a difference
I promise to have a kick-ass day
I promise not to repeat what other people say ;p
Good morning
Y’all good?

These were the words shared by Montréal tribe members this morning during the bounce…We are weird, we are loud, we choose to be different and we all have our reasons to be here every week at 6:29am. Let’s make a difference!!! The tribe is strong in Montréal. read more

“Sweet tribe of mine” [MTL]

The show starts off to the beat of Neil Diamond’s classic song “Sweet Caroline” in order to get the tribe going. Seeing dozens of beautiful humans touching hands, reaching out and singing out loud: “SO GOOD…SO GOOD….SO GOOD” always works for me. The Encore was even better when Sally chose to come around and made us all humble again 🙂 . It has definitely made week 4 of #dudewheresmycolead? memorable. What made it that much more memorable was the dedication of two lovely tribe members GILLA and FRÉDÉRICK on helping co-lead the tribe and giving us an ass-kicking. read more

Week 3 of #DudeWhereIsMyColead? – Guest blog [MTL]

Today’s guest blog comes from Martina Erdstein.

When I came to NP in Montreal last time I was home from college, it was just beginning to grow – still a kid that was new to the world and finding its way. Now, I’ve come home again and the tribe has grown so much! The tribe is big, and only growing. It’s fast, it’s loud, it demands attention. I love it when we’re working out at the old port and I see people passing by. They always stop to watch us, or smile at us, or come up to ask what the heck we’re doing. Because that’s the nature of the energy of November Project… we draw people. read more
