Today at NP MKE we borrowed from the Boston workout arsenal and lost our 100/100 virginity. For those of you unfamiliar with the 100/100 workout, it’s simple: 100 push-ups and 100 throw downs. The tribe pushed up and threw down until they threw up and stayed down (see picture). Not once did they complain, not once did they give up.
Dear DG… (MKE)
Dear DG,
The tribe is strong. The tribe is really fucking strong. As you donned your water wingys and took to the beach, NP MKE got down to business. Blustery winds and cloudy skies were no match for this group as they crushed the PR workout on the new course. It was 30 minutes of lung busting, leg burning loops. I’m pretty sure some of them even enjoyed it. John and Jack battled for the win and the course record, as Tonieh set the pace for the girls followed closely by Maddy, Macaire and Anne. Shemeka posted a strong time for her very first NP workout. You would have been proud DG. You’ve built something bigger than either of us could have imagined. The tribe is relentless. The tribe will not back down.
Positively BEEastly (MKE)
Today’s post is brought to you by: positivity.
Here at November Project MKE, we thrive off positivity. It inspires, fuels and energizes our workouts and get us out of bed on Wednesday mornings. It’s the reason most of us show up every week. But what’s so important about positivity?
Let’s see what science has to say on the subject

Winter Is Officially Closed (MKE)
In preparation for hot steamy weather we made the decision to close our ‘Winter Course’ this month and celebrated with one last PR workout on it. The Wishbone consists of a down-up on a brutal staircase followed by a down-up a sidewalk hill. A good lap is under 4 minutes and a great lap is closer to 3. Based on their previous efforts, our athletes do between 5 and 10 ‘Wishbones’ – and, like everywhere in the NP universe – everyone busts their asses no matter how fast they are moving.
High-Flying Homework by November Project North America
YOU HAVE HOMEWORK! That’s right. You have an assignment that must be done… and it must be done well. #HighFlyingHomework will be executed in every single city by the sixteen November Project tribes. It will be fun and awesome and a little dangerous. To make this idea creatively competitive, High-Flying Homework will involve everyone in each tribe in an welcoming way, but there will be a clear winner in the end… Also, someone may end up jumping from a plane or helicopter for the win.
Boston Strong
Dear Boston,
Last year I decided to take the year off from racing your streets. Instead, I opted to run the Napa Valley marathon for its net downhill course and copious amounts of wine offered at the finish. As of April 14, 2013, I was a retired marathoner. The long distance never quite suited my 800 meter legs and I absolutely despise all GU’s, gooze and Goo’s. But on April 15, “never” became “next year” and “won’t” became “will.”
RUN. don’t Waukee (MKE)
Sweaty Hugs are the obligation. Sweaty Hugs are the reward. They must be earned. They take two NPers and a shared workout. They mark the survival and punctuate the great day ahead. Some people still hug with a facial expression that conveys how uncomfortable they are with this, but we all need the Sweaty Hugs.
The Strong Got Stronger
It’s a good feeling, that of survival. We here in the midwest were starting to believe that the thaw would never come and that we would soon slip under a glacier, never to be heard from again. Some of us grew extra hair, some started learning how to cave-paint, and some considered hibernation,
Last Group Post of #Turbo15
Enjoy it folks! This post marks the last Wednesday blog recap where BOS, MSP, MKE, LAX, SMF, and NYC will be writing together. Starting next week, each of these tribes will get the keys to the blog post and we’ll be producing posts on their own. We’re excited and so are they not see any more email remainders from BG and Bojan. Enjoy!
