Woo! Another PR day in the books. Congratulations to the folks who earned a PR today! And congratulations to those who didn’t reach their PR today! You worked hard too – we saw you. Plus we are allowed to congratulate whoever we want. And to use as many exclamation points as we want! Here are a few more!!!
Super Moon (Ottawa)
Good evening, readers! Apologies for the late post today – hopefully you weren’t waiting on this blog to remind you to stretch out your legs after this morning’s breakfast of stairs and squats and other such fun things. You’re all seasoned pros by now and have presumably mastered the “oh yeah, I’ll totally stretch later when I get home” game plan.
Interview with an Infant (Ottawa)
Greetings, YOWzers!
Our youngest NP member had a great time this morning and was so inspired by all of you that she has decided to kick start a career in journalism. Please read on for what we assume is a 3 month old’s perspective on today’s PR day…
Hi everyone! How are those legs feeling? Strong? Shaky? Sore? Mine are feeling great! It feels like I could practically stand on them. Oh, wait – no, I definitely can’t do that yet. Maybe in a few more months. Luckily my mom carries me around anyway (sucker) so I don’t have to worry about that quite yet. Anyway, I hope your legs are feeling great, but if they’re not, I highly recommend having someone carry you around. Highly effective mode of transportation… especially with the price of gas these days, amirite?!
Blockbusters (Ottawa)
Top of the morning, YOWzers!
Thank you for sharing your morning with us. Every Wednesday morning has the potential to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, don’t you think? Sure, some might say that there’s no place like home, but those people probably haven’t been away from home at 6:29am. Perhaps they have yet to receive an offer that they can’t refuse.
PR Day Proof (Ottawa)
Oh hey there friends, it’s me again
The one who speaks in rhyme
Apologies for the long hiatus
But I simply haven’t had the time
With the arrival of the tiny human
Perhaps NP YOW’s youngest member
I’m lucky if brushing my teeth
Is a task that I remember
But we heard today was a big event,
The one we call “PR”
The day when we see just how high
We can really set that bar
Bedtime Rhymes (Ottawa)
Okay, okay – I know it’s late
I’m sorry to have made you wait
The thoughts and feelings in my mind
Took some time to search and find
Another week gone, and this one – my last
For a new arrival is coming in fast
And while I enjoy penning each rhyme
I think I may soon not find the time
So please enjoy this verse tonight
It’s an easy read, breezy and light
Just a quick summary of a wonderful morning
With some cheesy one liners (consider this your warning)
We Just Wanna Fly (Ottawa)
Top of the evening, YOWzers! By now everyone should be safely back on the ground after a morning of exploring all that Sugar Ray and the Aviation and Space Museum has to offer.
This morning’s workout featured a variety of movements as well as more cool facts about Aviation and Space than one might ever expect to learn at a 6:29am workout. A big thank you to Rebecca for putting this one together – working brains and bodies at the same time AND a distinct lack of black ice threatening your safety at every attempt to do some form of cardio?! What more could you ask for?
Slippery Slope (Ottawa)
Good morning our YOWzers
And what a good one it was
Bringing smiles to our faces
As Wednesday always does
For this morning was in PERSON
Which is hard to believe
As not so long ago
This was hard to conceive
Regarding this morning’s workout
Just one thing we want to say
There were a couple speed bumps
Encountered along the way
Rhyme Time Returns (Ottawa)
Happy Wednesday to one and all
So glad you’ve come to read
This blog, of course, has all of the
Important facts you need
First of all, one more thank you
To Erin, our fearless leader
When it comes to virtual workouts,
Truly nobody can beat her
And while it pains us greatly
To not show up next week
It’s only for the human contact
Which we all so desperately seek
And the Winner is… (Ottawa)
Good morning, YOWzers!
Hopefully you are taking some time to re-hydrate and re-fuel after the gruelling Olympic competitions this morning. Seriously, most athletes who attend the Olympics compete in one sport. You competed in figure skating, skiing, and 3 different sliding events – even a gold medal hockey game – all on a Wednesday morning. Pretty impressive. (And no, that picture isn’t from this morning, we’re just reeeeally excited to see you all in person again soon!).
