Summertime Rhyme

Hello dear friends, some time has passed
Another blog is here at last
Apologies for the slight delay
Writers’ strike… What can we say?

Now here we are, at summer’s mid
Reflecting on great things we did
Perhaps none better than those stairs
(some of our legs are still under repairs)

We’ve pushed our limits with burnouts a plenty
Some peach-themed… we hope not too many
If muscles felt tired and energy got low
We pushed our friends (not literally, though) read more

All About April (Ottawa)

Greetings, YOWzers and readers everywhere! It’s been another splendid month of early morning playdates, and we can’t wait to tell you all about it. So we won’t. Here you go:

Workout Highlights

WEEK 1 – EMOM (every minute on the minute)

It was straight to business on our first workout of the month. Four rounds. Four minutes. A different exercise each round. A goal to hit each time. The great thing about this style of workout is that each person can really pick a number that offers the level of challenge they’re looking for, and no matter what that number is, everyone finishes up at the same time. The less great thing about this style of workout is that your body gets really angry with you by minute #4 if you have not taken the rest period that your trusted co-leaders strongly advised you to take… read more

March Gladness (Ottawa)

Forget that March madness situation, here at November Project Ottawa we’ve had a lovely month exploring a different museum each Wednesday morning and, perhaps more importantly, checking out new morning coffee shops that are near said museums. Plus, if you’re committing to one emotion for the whole month, gladness just seems more sustainable.  read more

WEEK 1 – Donuts

Ah yes, this is the week that Becca was a touch overzealous with the complexity of the bounce. To be fair, it looked good in writing:  read more

No-Nonsense November (Ottawa)

If there’s one hyphenated word to aptly describe NP YOW, it would have to be “no-nonsense”. If there’s a string of words to describe the writers of this blog, it would have to be “enjoys any excuse for alliteration regardless of its relevance, hence the title of this blog”.

…anyway, moving on to our workout highlights this month!  read more
