The Time Has Come

It’s bittersweet writing this.

The time has come for me to step forward from co-leading the amazing November Project Canada community. I seriously can’t believe I just wrote that sentence.

You all know that in the early days of this leadership journey I was pretty uncertain about taking on a role within a community that was/is so incredibly important and valuable in my life. And I know that NP was/is important and valuable in your life too. read more

It was FUN

I woke up this morning with an extra pep in my step. Of course, being #weatherproof, that extra bite in the air wasn’t a deterrent. I wanted to get there early and hopefully be there first to greet all of you.

It’s my second last NP morning and well, I’m feeling how I’m feeling about it. That means, I wanted to get to the FUNicular stairs and say hi to each and every one of you! I think I did. I hope I did. read more

And just like that…

If you didn’t happen to see social this weekend, I have news.

I have lots to say. Not now.

I will say that this was big and hard decision for me. Pressing “send” the weekend was a really hard thing to do. And also right for me.

The only other thing I will say at this moment, is this… read more

Hieee!!

Solid morning friends. Way to crush those Commonwealth stairs.

Sooo, as part of NP Canada turning 10 this year, let’s hear from an NPer who keeps us fed with yummy snack- whether it’s Christmas or just a regular ol’ day in September.

The lights!!

So today was a vibe. Thanks for your great energy and badassery getting up and down those stairs.

It’s been even nicer this dark month of September with the lights on! Makes twisting an ankle or biffing on a tooth a little less likely. Thank you City of Edmonton for 1) letting us “play” in such an iconic spot in the city and 2) for helping us stay safe. #safetythird read more

Yesterday’s blog post. Today.

Sooo…. guest co-leader, Eric, was very diligent in crafting a post for all of you. It was I, slacker Lazine, who dropped the ball. Don’t think that was Eric….

One thing I love about workouts like today’s is seeing people doing unique exercises and incorporating the objects around us into the workout. Here are some of the cool things I saw that inspired me this morning: read more

    17 years…

The smoke! It foiled our holiday Monday plans yet again.

Good thing we know how to pivot…. and ask for help. Thank you to our friend, Steve Baker, for generously giving us access to Telus World of Science for our second ever indoor workout. It was a different kind of morning for sure! Way to crush it today! read more

    #thebig10 – A stranger turned friend!

Friends, you all crushed it out there today. Gristle, Ol’96er, Tenderloin finishers – wow! Congrats. Good luck with your legs in the next couple of days….

And yay to everyone who got out there at 5:30am + 6:00am to crush out 59 or 30 mins of stairs. Holy shit you’re amazing.

Today’s #thebig10 feature (#thebig10 = our 10th year of NPCanada in yeg… for those who are scratching their heads right now) is one of our newest NP members who has joined us for the entire Summer all the way from Karaj, Iran. It’s soon time for Reza Motiee to leave his new NP family and head back to his home. Thank you for chasing us down (you’ll read below) and finding your way to us on MWF, all Summer long. We will miss you and will look forwad to when we meet again! read more
