And In Other News… (SD)

This is a public service announcement: November Project is for everyone. I repeat, we love everyone…as long as you hug us back and show up ready to give 110%. Is it easy? No. If it feels easy, you better be winning. #raceeverything

Today was good. Today we had collegiate athletes racing next to soccer moms, racing next to veterans, racing next to nurses, racing next to hairstylists, racing next to…children? Yup, that’s right. Whatever your excuse is for not getting your ass out of bed this morning, it’s invalid. In fact, scientific research has proven that getting your ass out of bed and working out with November Project not only has a positive effect on said ass, but actually reduces the degrees of separation between you and Superman. So really, truly, there is no excuse. Get out of bed. Be Superman. Be Happy. Be Strong. Be BRIGHT SD! In other news: – DONT FORGET – #inappropriatelyfast homework! Instagram that gold ASAP!!

A word from The Watch – SD

The ground began to tremble. The faint sound of humans stirred me from my slumber. As I shook the morning dew from my wings the cries became louder…the group obviously growing in size. Obscenities were shouted in slow motion and the mass began to move as one. Taking flight I took my post, an hour early for my watch. The humans were clad in bright colors and seemed to be outwardly fond of each other. Still unsure of any impending threat, I surveyed the sea of humans and took note of three who appeared to be in charge. Leaders in an army of neon muscle. Then. They began to really move. The trembling ground began to  quake. With each earth shattering step I could see their quads growing in size. Like the Hulk, they’re strength seemed to magnify exponentially with each push up. It was then I noticed the first casualty, a cockroach, who’s identity remains a mystery, had not survived the stampede. Mentally making note of my new mid morning snack, I wondered if it would ever be safe to intrude upon these savages. On and on they ran, never appearing to tire. I was about to call in reinforcements when as suddenly as they had started, there was silence. They huddled together, perhaps to seem even larger. On command, they dropped their jaws, groaning and swaying. When it dawned on me, what they really were, I went full bird and shit on the sidewalk – the Zombie apocalypse had arrived…and that damn cockroach would never be mine. Good luck world, save yourselves! read more

Tour du jour

So many visitors! So many hugs! So many stairs! So many push ups (Ahem.. Donna)! Today we took our world touring traverbalers on a full tour of the stairs. It might have been to show off our fantastic waterfront view, but it also kicked their ass. And what’s better way to say “Welcome to San Diego” than with a good ass kicking Monday morning? I know I was excited! I am excited! It’s Christmastime afterall, so bust out the Santa Hats, spin those dreidels, and for the love of misteltoe, someone bake a batch of sugar cookies! It’s a great end to an awesome year SD! Hope everyone is as amped for the holiday season as they were for the workout this morning! read more

Se-bas-tian

Break it down. Say it slow. Let it roll off the tounge. Ready? SE-bas-tian.

levitra online prescription

Say it again. SE-bas-tian. A little faster now. Sebas-tian. A little louder now! SEBASTIAN! Now break it down again. Seven times. Add a little spice, some sprints, a little water, and you’ve got yourself a Zagat rated, Top Chef- style, gourmet, 5-Star, decadent serving of deconstructed Sebastians. Fuck Yeah. Topped of with a cherry and 7 minutes of hill repeats, today couldn’t have gotten much sweeter. But oh wait, it did. And the group hug was just the start of it! You all rock. Thanks to each and every one of you! Lots of love, read more

Monday’s are Fun

We jumped. We climbed. We dipped. (When I dip, you dip, we dip….see what I did there?). We out ran the “winter chill”. We gazed lovingly at our pink San Diego sunrises. WANTED: Rogue Gorillas

WANTED

ROGUE BAND OF GORILLAS

Last seen: Wednesday December 10th, 2014 at 6:30am

Where: Kate Sessions Park

Why: Strong and extremely unpredictable. Gorillas may hide in the mist at the foothill and ambush unsuspecting park goers. Reports have come in that the animals were engaged in a battle of brawn which overtook the grounds of the park from 630-730am. Nearby residents report hearing a chaotic chorus of sounds which precipitated the event. Researchers are still trying to determine if the males are battling for dominance hierarchy or female attention, as the mating season for gorillas remains undetermined. They are however, advising residents to maintain their distance from male and female gorillas, as the female gorillas are equally as fast and ferocious when it comes to confrontation. read more

Strong Like Mondays

So whether you raced this weekend or raged this weekend, or you were a badass and did both – ya should’ve been at the Convention Center this morning. Por que? You ask, because it’s not every day you see two grown men bear crawl an entire tour on the stairs. Because we laughed. Because we did a workout that would make Richard Simmons cry. Because we hugged. Because we sweat like a bunch of wooly mammoths in springtime. And because now I’m sitting here, drinking my coffee with the satisfaction that I’ve already beasted my Monday. I’m basking in the knowledge that the rest of the day will be a piece of cake in comparison. So bring it on Monday, bring it all on. I dare you. read more

We had weather today!

Okay, I’ll admit it. I exaggerate San Diego’s weather, just a smidge, in our blog. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s usually 75 and Sunny (no exag there) but when it’s “cold” or “monsoon-ing” I tend to get  a little carried away. Well today, straight facts. Thats it. Today it rained. It rained enough so we now know who the “weatherproof” people are. It rained enough that I dug out my rain jacket, which I probably didn’t need, but wore anyway. It rained enough so there were puddles on the pavement. It rained enough that our dude from SF felt right at home. And in rained enough for me to feel comfortable saying IT WAS RIDICULOUS, WE ALMOST DROWNED, and I SWEAR I PASSED NOAH AND HIS ARK ON THE WAY HOME!!!….sorry, couldn’t contain myself. What we did see today was a host of NPSDers hash out a killer workout, make to “Running Man” and back and still after all that, have the energy to hug, just once more. read more

Motivation Mondays

Coming off a weekend of thankful-highs and tryptophan-lows it’s nice to come together afterwards and have reality smack the sleepies out of your eyes and remind you that life is still pretty damn good…even when the mashed potatoes are all gone. It was a killer workout this morning, but instead of recapping the 30 minutes of insanity, we are going to share with you words from one of our own. Thanksgiving Day may be over, but being thankful is a lifestyle, and it’s people like Natalie that we are thankful to call family. read more
