Friday Stadiums are for Live DJs [ATL]

We broke so many records this morning.

First, let’s start with my fears. We were planning on having a DJ at the high school where we do our stadiums. Yes, we have permission. No, we didn’t tell them we had a DJ. But we put it out there. LIVE DJ – at the Stadium.

I had nightmares that only NP leaders would have. What if today is the day the stadium is locked? What if the generator doesn’t work and the DJ doesn’t have power? What if the cops show up? read more

Bring Back the 80s! (ATL)

Wisconsin Notes

ATL Tribe took a time machine to the 80s this morning with an 80s inspired aerobics workout!

Tribe Leader Alexa looked like she literally time traveled from 1985, wearing her mom’s neon jacket and normal attire that owns and wears on a regular basis.

Christian AKA Richard  Simmons had a bleach incident with his afro and it turned out yellow. read more

Hills with a Skyline View (ATL)

Wisconsin Notes

  • We arrived at our workout spot and a bootcamp was there. We kept our distance, worked out, and they told us that we should have moved somewhere else in the park. Free park dudes!
  • The local TV station, WSB-TV, came out to shoot epic video of us running up the side of a hill.
  • Skyline views were in the background the whole workout.

  • We had our first kid come to the workout. Lana CRUSHED IT. (turns out she does Tough Mudder kids workouts!!!)
  • We had perhaps the most international tribe of all the NPs this morning…
    • Peter Collins from Montreal
    • Tribe member Lulu’s bro from London
    • NP Philly #traverbal

    • Speaking of Peter… he has the MOST TAGGED shirt!
    • Peter also wins the award for the best faces for photos.

    • We did NOT pose for photos running up the hill. Not at all.

Adults Can Have Easter Egg Hunts too! (ATL)

Wisconsin Notes

  • Rainy fields forced us to improvise and hide eggs on the pavement streets of Piedmont Park.

  • It was Chicks (girls) vs Rabbits (boys).

  • The workout ended up moving A LOT quicker than we expected…
  • soooo Alexa and Christian may or may not have hidden eggs AGAIN after tribe members found them.
  • Some people were pissed.

First Run, Then Yoga – ATL

Here in ATL, we’re big about working together with other members of the fitness community. So when our partner Mountain High Outfitters wanted us to team up with the Dirty South Yoga Fest for a run and yoga event, we were all for it!

Spring is getting closer, and with it comes plenty of free outdoor yoga classes across Atlanta, and more seasonable temps for November Project workouts. Our goal was to draw in the yogis and convince them that ANYONE can do NP (And that we LOVE yoga too!) read more

How to Run a Kick Ass Cheer Station (ATL)

The November Project ATL tribe ran what was possibly the best cheer station ever seen at an Atlanta race. (Okay, WE think so, there was no official award.) We spent 5 hours spreading good vibes and cheering on runners for Atlanta’s biggest spring race, the Publix Georgia Half and Full Marathon. The runners loved it and we were greeted with smiles, words of thanks, high fives and more! Thanks to all the tribe members that came out to help us make it a memorable race for everyone – Ben, Stein, Niamh, Julia, Andrea, Emma, Maddie, Tim, Gabi, Dara, Alexa, Danielle, Courtney and Chris (WHO CAME ON HIS BIRTHDAY!!) read more

Bringing Olympics Back to ATL (Winter Edition)

This morning, we brought back the Olympics to ATL… winter edition!

Now a confession, the tribe leaders (Christian and myself) DID get some ideas from fellow tribe leaders for this, so a huge thanks goes to those who gave us ideas!

And this infographic. We basically used it to plan almost all of our moves. read more

Tribe Member Spotlight- Keith Steenlage (ATL)

    **TRIBE MEMBER SPOTLIGHT**
    Keith Steenlage

    Born: Lake Forest, Illinois

ATL Neighborhood: Ponce City Market, Atlanta

Biggest turning point: I grew up on a farm in Wisconsin. When I was 14, my Dad suffered a serious injury in a farm accident. Faced with the prospect of losing the farm, my 16-year-old brother and I dropped out of school to take over my father’s farming responsibilities. We also both got full time jobs to supplement the farm income and support our six younger siblings. read more

Tribe Member Spotlight – Mike Buiocchi (ATL)

Mike Buiocchi has been part of the tribe since close to the beginning, when he heard of NP from a local run club. When Mike talks about his newfound passion for trail running, he’s being modest. He has already ran two 50ks (placing top 3 overall in both), a three-day mountain stage race and snagged a 2nd finish for a local Atl beer mile a few weeks back! Read more about this trail running dude below! read more
