Ah the sweet sound of a bounce dedicated to PR DAY. Ah why yes that was this morning. As the holidays begin to approach like black flies while camping deep in the woods we have some suggestions to make these times that much more memorable.

First of all, put down the Deet as you are not camping and it’s minus 5 out there. We live in Ottawa so one needs to make sure you dress appropriately for all outdoor winter activities. Outdoor winter activities you say, eh? Here are a couple we can suggest off hand:

Number 1 and a soon to be Fan Favourite/new family tradition: November Project Street Hockey Game taking place at the Aberdeen Pavilion December 25th at you guessed it 6:29am. Skates are NOT recommended, hockey sticks, bakes goods and lots of joy ARE recommended. The Good Old Street Hockey Game

Numero deux: January 1st meet you underneath the Maman spider sculpture #bridgemonth

Tres: Hit up any of the trails whether it be the Sir John A MacDonald Parkway, the Gatineau Park or along the Rideau Canal for a walk, run, dash or sprint outdoors.

Top three there you have it. The top three things to do in Ottawa during these holiday times. And if you find yourself travelling, visiting family or overloaded on gingerbread cookies consider getting outside for any of the above or other activities. This city and country we live in is something else during this season.

Here’s to bringing soles together,

Lauren and Liz

  1. NEXT WEEK: Aberdeen Pavilion 6:29am Street Hockey Game. If you have a hockey stick, baked goods, a hockey jersey and a lot of family we encourage it all.
  2. Track your PR day progress – even if it wasn’t a PR today in the slushy snowy conditions, chances are that we may get another day of this kind of stuff
  3. January 1st 2020. Meet you at the Maman give yourself some extra time to find parking
  4. Read a blog from another city.
