Last week, I was graced with the opportunity to talk to the interns at my office. There was no established topic, just a calendar invite. It read: “#UnderTheRadarMaria. 12pm. Large Conference Room.” That was all. I had initially agreed because I’m a “team player,” or whatever. Just kidding, I love my coworkers and I desperately wanted to drop some knowledge on these ‘terns.
Sleep? Awnaw, Hell Naw (IND)
To those who combed the thick book of excuses this morning and found nothing appealing, be proud of yourselves. It ain’t easy [being cheesy] convincing your body that little sleep after a partyful weekend is a good idea, but you guys did it and got a hell of a workout as the reward. That’s the thing about NP; even when you feel, look, and smell like shit, you know there will be someone armed with a hug and a smiling face and a thorough ass-kicking to start your mental and physical day off right. We’re happy to do so and love how pumped it gets you guys, especially you, Andrew. Wow!, that guy stole the show today, skipping eight downhill stairs at a time and handing out motivating double high-fives like we were paying him for it.
November Project Races The Cotton Bowl
Today was the culmination of months of preparation, community organizing, and tribe dedication as NOVEMBER PROJECT DALLAS. Trending today #NP_Dal hastag for the socials. People attended a workout at Cotton Bowl at 6 am this morning. The energy and atmosphere was amazing! All of these souls came together as a community to share positive energy and get a sweat on. Being the last Wednesday of the month and our first official day in the Cotton Bowl, it was our inaugural stadium PR day (full tour starting at section 36 and going all the way around the stadium back to section 1). The course around the Cotton Bowl is quite varied with some section climbing much higher than others, as well as some sections with bleachers that have backs–moving people to stairs. The stadium is challenging mentally, physically and technically.

I first met Kendary in 2005, he is a subject matter expert for SBM in our region by then. To me, he is a quiet person but very knowledgeable in his profession. He is also my personal investment fund and retirement scheme adviser. I invited him to our NP_Pledge workout at the beginning of February 2017, since then he has become the warrior for Wednesday morning hills.

Picture this: A cop, a grounds crew member, and an easily agitated neighbor walk into a group of free fitness freaks. A specific NWA track drops and those fitness freaks bus awll dem foos, break a foot off in dey ass, y generally give ’em the business. That’s what happened this morning . . . MINUS the busting of fools, breaking off of feet in any collective ass, and transacting any sort of B2B or B2C commerce, and PLUS courteously responding to all inquiries concerning our boisterous nature and mobile photography studio. But really, thanks for giving us the green light cop and crew dude, and go back to speaking on behalf of imaginary ‘concerned others’ at town hall meetings, pesky neighbor.

Howard’s Halfway to Halloween Hoedown Hootenanny was all it was cracked up to be: Super, Wild, Salty, Dirty, Grungy, Pretty, Galactic, Ballerific, American, Boozy, Pollinated, Healthy, and Sweaty. It definitely was not uniCorny. Newbies shined, oldies whined (not really; oldies kicked flucking arse supporting the newbies this morning), and on the feastival he created, Howard dined! Gotta love the added motivational incentive of a pump-up-partner during the Race Day ordeal!
