Doctors, lawyers, pilots, teachers, students, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, doesn’t matter who you are, what you believe in, what your ‘status’ is, you are or can be a part of the Kelowna November Project Tribe…and what a tribe it is…such a community based “person loving” group that our mayor declared a special day, November Project Community Day, on November 28, 2018…how far we have come!!! read more

Just. Show . Up.

Two Truths & A Lie (I’ll let you decide which one is a lie at the end..)

1.  I’ve yet to regret a single November project workout and leave the morning feeling amazing and energized for my day

2.   You have to be a morning person or a certain level of “fit” to participate in November Project read more

Who are Steve and Roz and what is November Project??

So started my journey with NP…with a simple question that was born out of a “chance meeting” (insert eye roll here because if you know me at all, you will know that I don’t actually believe in “chance meetings!”). It was Sunday of the Labour Day Long Weekend in 2017 and I boarded a school bus at the Delta Grand Hotel in Kelowna which was taking people the start line of the Wine Country Half Marathon at Vibrant Vine Winery. There was one seat left on the bus and so I took it. I introduced myself to my seat mate — his name was Steve. Over the course of the 20 minute bus ride I learned that we were both pace bunnies for the race and so we had at least that one thing in common (we found out we have other things in common too — height and hair are not among them). We arrived at the start line and decided we should get a pace bunny pic.  I took the photo and later posted it on my instagram account. Steve gave me his number and he asked me to send him the pic. read more

FINDING MY WAY THROUGH OTHERS

Everything was good, then not so good, then November Project changed that.

Hi, my name is Jared Waldroff and November Project has shown me more about myself than I thought just a morning workout would. It started out as a fun workout I started going to with way more people than I could count. Then after many coffee hangouts, laughs and lake dives it became something I was always looking forward to. read more

NP to Me

Hey guys! I’m Olivia. (“Hi Olivia!” *clap clap*)

So. November Project. It can mean so little. It definitely meant nothing to me when I was first told about it. But it can also mean SO MUCH. It means more than almost anything to me now.

My first NP was on February 7th this year. That’s crazy to me because it feels like it’s been forever since I started going. Anyway. When I asked my friend, Leah, the night before if she wanted to go to the gym that next Wednesday morning she said that she had something she was doing in Kelowna at that time and that actually I should definitely come with her. We live in Vernon so I remember first thinking “What on earth do you have to do at 5:30 in the morning on a Wednesday in KELOWNA.” Closely followed by “Sure, why not, I’ll come.” I had learned to trust Leah’s crazy plans. read more

A Story of Firsts

Holy shit guys this is really happening. We are starting up the blog.

What is the blog you ask?

It’s a place for us to talk about… well anything really. It’s a place for us to talk about the deep questions like, “who is louder, Michelle or Steve? “

Or maybe to fawn over the pictures of the dogs in our group. read more
