With the holiday season behind us, many of us have indulged in retrospection and in reevaluating some of their life choices. New Year’s resolutions are an opportunity for all those who have failed to start making the changes that they said they would have made.
Well, now is your chance to sit down and prepare a list of NP resolutions you want to make for 2018. Since the majority of people fail to stick to their resolution, we at NP Montréal thought you would need all the help you can get. Here is a list of 3 SIMPLE & ACHIEVABLE NP New Year’s Resolution Ideas and how to achieve each of them
1.Drop a “#verbal” weekly:
NP YYZ are bringing back the #verbal – https://november-project.com/bringing-verbals-back-yyz/ – and Montréal thought they would tag along and list the #verbal as our first NP resolution of 2018. One of the best ways to drop the #verbal is through social media. As the wise people at YYZ state in their blog post, when we post a pre-workout hype photo on Tuesdays, simply respond “#verbal” in the comments section of Instagram or Facebook and you are set. If you want to go one step further, you could drop your “#verbal” and call out a friend by challenging them to drop their #verbal too, and then hold each other accountable. So let us start next week. We expect #verbals 🙂
2. Excuses are for losers…stop procrastinating and get your asses out of bed every Wednesday morning.
The biggest barrier that keeps most people from reaching their goals is coming up with all the lame excuses in the world. We’ve heard them all: “it’s too cold”, “I have an exam tomorrow”, “It’s too early”, “Old Montréal is far”, etc. Once you get used to coming up with excuses and procrastinating it’s difficult to snap yourself out of it. What you’ll need to do is put in the work to change this bad habit. NO MORE EXCUSES is the first step. There is no reason for not coming to next week’s workout. Schedule it in your timetable and get your weatherproof gear out a week ahead of time
3. Meet one new person every week.
When we get stuck in a rut, we usually end up staying at home most of the time, missing out on a lot of interesting opportunities for meeting new cool people and having fun. November Project is here for you to meet new people on a weekly basis. So don’t be afraid to get out there every Wednesday morning and talk to others around you. Overcome your shyness and come get to know new and interesting people. So, we challenge you to spot one person you do not know and introduce yourself. Get to know their favourite colour, favourite ice cream flavour, their current job, etc. and work out with them. You’ll thank us for it.
