I am writing a blog. Words are being strung together to form sentences. I am reflecting on the morning trying to decide what to write. My legs are twitching (do I have restless leg syndrome? – no probably not *they keep twitching*). The keyboard clinks and clanks as I move my fingers over the keys pressing down on the little plastic pieces (man this keyboard is gross – I should really clean it *I don’t actually clean it*). The whirl of my office space buzzes around me, too much work – not enough staff – classic issue. I should really focus on writing this blog…..

Today we ran a hill. It was cold but I wore proper attire – sort of, my one wrist was cold, where my jacket was pulled back so that I could check my watch. I should make a see-through patch on a jacket so I wouldn’t have to do this (na that would look lame, probably). The snow on the ground made it so that my steps weren’t slippery and that I could find traction going up and down – thank goodness. Man, Dean was flying today. I wonder if we could set up a traffic speed gun thingy and see how fast we all can get. That would be a fun challenge (we know someone who works with the police right?). It’s hard to breathe through buffs. When are the new buffs coming? I should ask Nadim (probably stuck at the boarder again #alikelyexcuse #freethebuff). I ran up to Syd, we exchange life updates and pleasantries, she runs off citing #sydsgottogotowork. I met a new person today, she seems nice. Only 5 minutes left, I better run up the hill to call time at the top and sweep people on the way down. High five tunnels are the best – life needs more high five tunnels. We could have them at races, when you successfully finish a day at work, after a good bowel movement……………maybe it’s not appropriate for all things. Ok I’m really getting side tracked here…

We showed up. We ran the hill. We high fived, hugged, and cheered. This magic, this grassroots/community/joymob/worldtakeover, is something you have to experience yourself. Everyone is welcome no matter your age or fitness level. If you have any questions or if you are unsure about anything, reach out to us – the workouts are better with you in them. There has got to be something to it if so many people just choose to show up at 6am in the cold…………right? (Hint: the answer is yes).
