The lotus flower can have quite the journey.
This is the story of The Green Lotus.
In depths of a dark and murky swamp, at the bottom in an unfavourable environment, a seed has planted itself in the soil. It begins to grow, unknowing of the journey it is about to embark on, it sprouts hopeful. The seedling continues to grow, innately knowing that up is the only way, and it pushes.
Slowly growing, it comes across many obstacles. These obstacles hinder the seedling’s path in such a way that frustration and meandering occurs. Floating through the murky water, it comes across a matted mess of tree roots it has to go through to reach the faint light above. These roots hold the seedling back, manipulate its route and cause much uncertainty. However, the seedling pushes through the mess and continues its journey to the surface. More obstacles present themselves; roots of other plants create a tangled web of confusion and deception. Choking the seedling, it realizes a way out and perseveres and the hopeful light above becomes brighter.
Reaching the surface, the journey is not over. As the budding lotus emerges through the surface of the ugly swampy water, its next endeavour is to open … The lotus has reached its goal; it has reached the surface and now begins the best part: the blooming. It unravels itself, petal by petal, slowly opening, becoming vulnerable, but ultimately showing that all the hard work of propelling itself to the surface was well worth it. This beautiful flower opens, creating a sense of rebirth, a new beginning. Every night, it closes, only to reopen the next morning unstained and pristine.

Many people have tattoos and the stories behind them can be fascinating, meaningful and personal. Commenting on someone’s tattoo artwork is a great way to get to know them, whether you’re a fan of tattoos or not. It can really give you insight into who they are or what they’re about. Then again, sometimes Tweety Bird on the ass is just that. HA HA HA
This month, Boston Co Leaders EmSauce, Capozzi and C-Payne, kept their tattoo verbal word, and got their tattoos Thursday – “Let’s Get a Little Bounce” … Goosebumps, folks, goosebumps. I’m sure they will not be the only ones getting November Project tattoos, but rest assured, these tattoos represent something very different and profound for each person, and listening to those stories would be pretty rad.

We all have a a different path; journey; voyage, and yet we’ve all met here, at November Project.
We owe this whole thing to two men who, 6 years ago, tipsily decided to hold each other accountable, took some risks, and have now managed to inspire and influence thousands of people worldwide.
Bojan and BG, our gratitude knows no bounds.
Laura and DG, ditto.
