Kids are awesome. They say stuff that’s so honest, you can’t help but laugh. They include everyone, because they don’t know to disclude (that might be a made up word) anyone. They try so earnestly hard, because they aren’t scared to fail.
Some of us have been adulting for a long, long time. Some of us are just learning to adult. Probably a lot of us knock it out of the park adulting one day, and then something will happen and it’ll make us feel like we never knew how to adult in the first place. No matter where we fall on the scale of part-time to professional adult, we’ve all been not-an-adult before. We were all, at one time or another, very, very small children, who knew absolutely nothing about adulting. We were KIDZ and it was GREAT.
It felt good to act like a kid this morning. Not just to play a life-size version of Bop-It, but also to sprint with everything you have in you and not feel embarrassed if the person next to you sprints faster. It’s invigorating to reach out for a high-five in the middle of a sprint, not worried if it’ll slow you down, but just to get someone else to smile and race it out with you. It’s fun to let loose between push-ups and air-squats to yell, hit the ground, twist and jump. It doesn’t take anything away from your workout, it adds to your day. All. Day. Long. You kids gave out posi vibes for days this morning. Vibes like you just found the toy inside the Waffle Crisp cereal box before your sib did. Keep the energy high. Every. Damn. Day. KidZ.
OH, AND. MITCH. MITCH. MITCH. He is a rock. He is consistent. He is hard-working. Really hard-working. He is there rain, shine, injured, uninjured. He will cheer you on, and make you race. MITCH IS POSITIVE. THe tribe loves you, Mitch.
We saw a little bit of TedX this AM. Let’s show them what this thing we do is all about. THIS AFTERNOON. You know what to do. #grassgrootsgear
