Moments, precious gifts and experiences of 2020(Ottawa)

As we begin to say farewell to 2020 are there some moments that brought you some joy? We are being bombarded with hashtags, slogans and bumper stickers that shine a light on everything that went wrong this year. 

What about everything that went in the opposite direction? What about everything that made us reflect and begin to shift the way we listen and share? Is it too cliche to highlight all the good that we found? We believe no and in honour of 2020 almost coming to a close we would like to share a list with you of moments, precious gifts, experiences and events that made this year one not to forget.  read more

Wisconsin Notes(Ottawa)

  • In and out bounce happened that was meant to look like a wave , lots of big hugs, we felt connected to each other. You get a feel with the above photo.. maybe?
  • One unique zoom thing is that wherever you logged on, it’s possible that you experienced different weather than the person “beside” you. Rainy or sunny, we want to acknowledge the unsurrendered Algonquin territory on which we stood, moved, skater lunged.
  • We went up and down a ladder as many times as possible in 6 minutes
  • Specific shout outs are appreciated and valued
  • Workout was designed by November Project New Orleans
  • ZOOM is still living and breathing here in Ottawa
  • Another burnout with a song, how are you feeling about these?
  • Conversations as to when we move back to in person workouts are continuing and ongoing, do not fret we will give you a weeks heads up before we plan on returning to in person gathering
  • Where we gather and decide to move in our city was brought up in coffee chats and we are open to hearing suggestions and continuing to discuss a variety of different locations.

What is your top ten? (Ottawa)

  • It’s a top ten kind of morning. Well currently it’s a top nine.  We wanted to share what we believe are some of the top nine things we have learnt over the past four months and a bit.  Normally, lists like these involve items like high fives being dished out while the sunrise rises in front of us or bagels and coffee  at Kettlemans.  With some of that on pause for the time being here are some other highly regarded top nines.   read more

Museum Madness(Ottawa)

It was once known as March Madness and will now be forever known as Museum Madness. For the next four weeks we have decided to explore the city a little bit more and become that much more familiar with some iconic locations. This is something that is yet again uniquely Ottawa. Now, March Madness has it roots in college basketball and in the past we spun it into a push up or squat challenge at the end of the workout. But now this. This is something that you can brag about when visiting other cities. read more
