Storm, what storm?
We were promised a winter storm last night and I expected to wake up this morning to piles of fluffy snow. I also expected to need more time to get to the hill, to fight with gnarly traffic on my way to work, and to have to help shovel the walks when I get home (ok, I may still need to do this but at least the other two didn’t pan out). I understand the need to warn us of the impending storm but when it doesn’t come as expected I am almost a little disappointed as I have mentally prepared myself for a blizzardy NP morning. Oh well, such is life and trying to predict mother nature. Just watch, it’ll probably arrive as I am trying to make my way into the city after work tonight or in time for my long run on Sunday.
If it had been a full on blizzard this morning I’d probably be writing a blog post about how tired I am of winter so I guess I can’t complain about getting to run hills in decent weather. It was great to see so many people on the hill, love that you didn’t let a threat of an early March blizzard keep you away. Also nice to see the appearance of some March faces, the ones that seem to disappear in November and then reappear in March. The tribe missed you! Great job everyone – thank you for showing up and working your butts off!
While we couldn’t depend on the weather forecaster this morning, one thing we can count on is uncertainty at this time of year. Shorts weather one morning and triple layers the next…that’s spring for you! I can, however, provide you with certainty that you won’t be disappointed if you show up on Monday. As advertised, there will be amazing things to be won by participating in our very own, first ever Extreme NP Crashed Ice activity!
