Poetry (YEG)

Monday morning at NP – a poem

Oh Monday morning - you required gloves
Air cold enough to turn my breath as white as doves
The crowd slowly built by the LRT tracks
The clocks turn to 6am and we put down our packs

The bounce ends and hushed shouts were called
Our spirits built up and enthralled
Jumps were made, planks were too
Our workout even included a lap amidst the morning dew

30mins goes by in a flash when your amongst friends
After these mornings the feeling of love never ends

Thank you for choosing to spend you time building up yourself and your community. It’s past my bedtime – sleep well and see you on wed.

Keep being awesome,

Wednesday – Royal Glenora stairs

Friday – Walterdale hill
