So many announcements, we had to write a blog post about it!

It’s (finally) summer here in Montréal and if this isn’t your first, you probably know that it means the city comes out of hibernation and “all the things” start happening at the same time! Let’s go over everything happening at November Project!

Big announcement next week!

We don’t want to spoil everything (we’re not that one friend who told you about what happens at the end of the 6th Harry Potter book and Luke Skywalker’s family tree on the same day!? How could they!?), but let us just say you’ll be very excited about it and how it will shape November Project here in Montreal for the foreseeable future!
And I mean, would you really want to miss PR-day in the stairs?

Yearbook pictures!

Every year, all the November Project communities around the world post on the same day an album of their roaster à la grad-photo (but with a touch of NP silliness). We’ll be taking our pictures on June 5th this year (which also happens to be Global Running Day) and posting them on June 19th (2 weeks later).
After “Before & after” last year and “Nerds vs. jocks” 2 years ago, we’ll be letting you know in the coming days what will be the theme for this year in case you want to go all fancy and come dressed-up accordingly (because you know we’ll looove it)!

Clothes swap/donation

If you haven’t had a chance this week, feel free to bring athletic clothes and items you are no longer wearing to the workout next Wednesday for a clothing swap. Isn’t it amazing that the things you no longer really want can make others happy? And maybe you’ll get yourself a bunch of new things too!
All items left behind at the end of the day will be donated to the Sun Youth organization.
We love these win-win-win situations! And thanks again to Heather to putting this together!

Ottawa race weekend

Can’t believe it’s that time of the year again! Man time flies! But it’s the Ottawa marathon weekend!!
A couple of people are heading over to our capital for either the day of the race or the whole weekend. Want to join in the fun? Hit up our Facebook community page to share your travel plans as a racer or cheer-squader!
Our friends at November Project Ottawa and the Ottawa City Run Club are also hosting a number of cool events and shakeouts, so be sure to follow them to get all the info! November Project Summit 7 in Las Vegas

It may be warm and beautiful out right now, but remember what Ned Stark told us all these years ago: “Winter is coming!”. So if you want to join us on our escape from northern coldness for the desert’s heat when we head down to Las Vegas for the 7th November Project Summit on November 16-17, we put together a short survey to get an understanding of your travel plans or thoughts so we can find ways to make the trip cheaper and more fun for everyone! Click here to go fill it in.

Pop-up workout on Friday, June 7th

Remember when I told you that it’s summertime here in Montreal and that a thousand things are happening? Well F1 weekend is just around the corner and as one of the most exciting weekends in our dear city every year, we’ll be hosting a special pop-up workout downtown Montréal on Friday morning at 6:29 a.m. Expect lots of “speed”-themed exercises to prove once and for all that you’re faster than Lewis Hamilton!
More details will be shared soon (i.e., we’re still figuring out what we’ll do exactly, haha) but for now, be sure to save the date and time in your calendars!

Runaround 125 v2.0

Want to save the date to more fun things this summer? How about Saturday July 6th?
Why you ask? Well, that will be the first open to everyone version of the Runaround 125, a 125 km relay road race around the Island of Montréal. The teams are made up of 6 members (3 men, 3 women) – so roughly running 21 km each – but can also have additional “support” members who will not be running. The strategy is up to the participants (so they can split this in whichever way they want).
Interested in putting together a dope November Project team? That would be awesome! Reach out to us for details!
