Just kidding, they weren’t reluctant at all — however that Cake song is epic. Today we raced. Mother nature and her frigid air once again threw us a curve ball, so we stood over the plate, as we always do and fought it off.
Our group consisted of newbies, NP_PHL regulars and even a dude from the Mothership in town for business. We tagged shirts, raced, hugged and generally had a great fucking time. People were fast today…I mean, photography was challenging due to the pace at which these people were racing. We are super proud of every single one of you.
We warmed up with strong hugs and a jog down to Lloyd Hall. We stretched, hugged some more and then raced 1 mile for time. People were cheering each other on, giving high-fives and encouraging one another to race fast. We tagged a bunch of gear, including some Grassrootsgear+. We hope to see you donning this fresh garb on your training runs, at a race or on your next date. Incidentally, though not confirmed, studies indicate Grassrootsgear may be an aphrodisiac…you heard it here first. Special thanks to Kait, Lauren & Phil for their help today!
Terrell passed the Hard Hat Award to John. John is a dedicated Tribesman who has been with us since our inception. John travels nearly 40 miles to our workout each Wednesday and is always encouraging people to dig deeper and train harder. Congratulations John, we look forward to your week of adventures with the Hat.
Our Run & Recruit event will begin at 6:30 PM at the Art Museum on Thursday, April 3rd. We will run to various locations, do some recruiting and finish at a bar to socialize. Be there and bring those “non-morning” friends of yours. Follow our Facebook and Twitter for more details.
Well done everyone! See you next week for 2 DAYS of NP_PHL fun!
