LA is an awesome place filled with cool public spaces. Unfortunately LA is also a lazy city that likes to sleep in, and because of that some places aren’t open until later. Due to this, this morning we had separate workouts for 5:30 and 6:30.

5:30 had a leg demolishing perimeter workout around the Urban Light display. Keep your butt low and shuffle step across, lunge your way up to the far end, shuffle across again, and then reverse inch-worm yourself back to the beginning. After that you did a casual ~600m run that ended with a set of your favorite ab exercise for 25 reps. 35 minutes later we busted out a Sally Squat burnout because our legs were still hungry for more.
6:30 adventured around the block to the world famous La Brea Tar Pits. Most famously seen in the classic Arnold film, The Last Action Hero. There was a loop, some Russian twists, and a balance battle that resulted in victory laps or defeated dips.

The greatest obstacle this morning was the heat and humidity. It pains part of me to say this because I realize California is finally making me soft after 7 years. I guess I need to start saving up for my first pair of Uggs because eventually it’s going to be sub-70º. Brrrr.
Do Good, LA

Socal Collision Course ft. PHX: If your information is in this google doc then you are accounted for. We are a fortnight from race weekend, and I’m chomping at the bit to take NPSD Co-leader Ashleigh to town! I would pick Angelo, but I’m sober. No idea who is even showing up from NP Phoenix.
Random Fact: Although people who keep pet turtles tend to use the collective term “herd” to refer to a group of turtles, the classic collective term is a “bale of turtles.”
