Here’s what’s hot: Mondays. They’ve always been pretty damn fiery and fun, and this winter is no exception. Especially this month, we’re rocking workouts on bridges…which took us to a beautiful new pedestrian bridge last Monday, and today brought us to the epic Mass Ave. bridge.
Today, as the tribe blasted through the workout between Memorial Drive and the Caribbean-like waters of the Charles River, they could hardly stay cool in the fierce sunshine and heat. In order to cool everyone down during their ascending sets of exercises, (10 Jumping lunges, 20 pushups, 30 Russian twists, 40 squats, 50 jumping jacks) we called pairs of names to run together out-and-back across the bridge to different distances, marked by winter scarves. There was a “don’t make me sweat” distance, a half-way-ish distance called “Serbia” due to the Serbian scarf marking it’s location, and an “OH SHIT” location called such both because of it’s poop-brown colored scarf marking it’s location as well as the phrase most often heard when people were sent to run there.
If you’re feeling like the impending winter storm isn’t warming your heart, and the days of frigid temps have been getting you down lately, try a Monday with November Project. They’re hot. Every single week!
