The Mercury Challenge (YEG)

After a few weeks of teasing, the temperature finally hit the -30 bell and we were able to award some badges. I have to say though, we almost didn’t make it there. It seriously has felt like a cruel joke that it hasn’t reached -30 yet. Jen checked 10 minutes into the workout and we were only at -29. But with 10 minutes left in the block party workout, the mercury hit -30. And if you’re wondering, mercury hasn’t yet frozen at -30. I’ve spent over 5 years thinking about what comes after the -30 badge and I think I have figured it out. It’s the mercury challenge. We’ll keep a vial of mercury with us and when it freezes (-38C) everyone will get a handful of mercury. I’m still securing a supplier but stay tuned for this one.

On a side note, thanks to everyone who voted us as the best early morning outdoor free fitness group in downtown Edmonton. We couldn’t have done it without you and to the person who ended up with the award, we hope you enjoy it and hang it on your bathroom wall.
